Thank you for your interesting and careful analysis. I have to say that I prefer the Parachutes version of Trouble most, because to me all songs sound most "right" to me in their respective Era. Trouble is a very moving and genuine song, and Chris's youth-tinted vocals imho fit it best.

About the Oldplay vs. Newplay thing....I think the newer songs, including most parts of MX sound very synthetic as opposed to their earlier works which felt very organic, very "real", very genuine.
