  1. I'm not the Sallyator. :disappointed:
  2. But he could have finished the season for Man United. :( Anyway, it's his decision. Maybe the time was right. :/
  3. Oh well, don't trust Turish TV. I saw the pics that were shown in Turkey on TV yesterday. And true, Huggel did hit some guy of the Turkis team and he'll probably get punished for that, but it wasn't shown that he was kicked before. Just think about the result. Would that be a logic reaction to attack the other team after you got qualified for the Worls Cup? What were Swiss players supposed to do? Nothing? It was a normal reaction even though a really stupid one... Why should a theam that just got qualified leave the pitch immediately after the matcch finished? Don't you think they expected something like this to happen? Even the Swiss coach Köbi Kuhn was attacked! Did you hear what happened to the Swiss players? They made them wait twenty minuted on the border just to check the passport. After all players had crossed the border things were thron at them when they tried to catch the bus. There were things thrown at them in the stadium as well. I don't know what you see in Turkish press, expect what I saw in TV yesterday, but I can say what I saw on TV and this makes you really angry. One Swiss player even had to go to hospital... Anyway, FIFA will do their investigations, we just have to wait.
  4. :stunned: He'll be a big loss for United. :(
  5. Ah ok. :) This made me a little confused...
  6. Well they didn't win actually, but they are qualified for the World Cup. I'm so, so happy!
  7. I agree with you. But I think one of the problems is that also Swiss players were involved on the incident, so they might get punished as well. On Turkish TV pics were shown on which Huggel kicks some guy of the Turkish team, they didn't show what had happened before. I think the worst of all is that the Swiss team had been warned. The Swiss coach Köbi Kuhn told the players to leave the pitch as fast as possible because he expected something like this to happen. That's what he said on an interview tonight. Another strange incident happened on the Turkish border. Some players had to wait twenty minutes till their passports were checked and when they runned to chatch the bus things were thrown at them.
  8. I saw the interviews on Swiss TV tonight. There were also pics shown that weren't shown yesterday. They were made by some Turkish TV station, I think. Two camera men from the Swiss TV channel SF DRS were interviewed and they said that they weren't aloud to take any pics of what had happened.
  9. The latter!! :D He's surrounded by sheep!! :smug: Oh, I see. But I think he lived in Bern a few weeks ago? :/
  10. Oh, danke vielmals! Klar versteh ich Deutsch.
  11. That has never happened to me. Rick, Do you live in Switzerland or New Zealand?
  12. I don't think so because I don't think I'll be able to concentrate. I'm sorry but I have to go now to search some information for our presentation and write about two pages for that. I'll have to write an English translation tomorrow as well that was on Wednesday when I was ill.
  13. Yeah it's a bit better. I'm not well yet, but I have to work this afternoon. I have to prepare a prenstation for school and I have to go school tomorrow, because I have to prepare this prenstation with a girl from our school and I won't see her at the weekend.
  14. Yeah, and I had a temperature earlier this week as well.
  15. I'm very happy because of the result, it's great that our team is qualified. But what happened after the match is just horrible. That has nothing to do with sport and any team that acts like this deserves to be punished. :/
  16. Oh, that's great. I haven't had a driving lesson yet, I want to learn to drive, but I can't affort lessons at the moment. I'm ok.... I should be writing some presentation for history. I've been ill this week, but I'm better now.
  17. That was very shoking indeed. When the match finished the players left the pitch immediately and the camera just stood still. You couldn't see anything. Players that were interviewed after the match didn't say anything about the current situation. Btw I posted a report about in in the Sport/ News section.
  18. hi  how are you?
  19. Swiss players have exposed the extent of the abuse dished out by Turkey during Wednesday's World Cup qualifying play-off. Defender Stephane Grichting was hospitalised after receiving a kick in the stomach at the end of the match and was treated for a perforated urinary channel. Violence erupted in the tunnel following Switzerland's qualification, with Swiss players claiming they were attacked by their Turkish opposition and a number of security guards. Johan Lonfat, Johann Vogel, Benjamin Huggel and trainer Erich Burgener were all caught in the fracas. "It is a scandal," fumed Swiss coach Kobi Kuhn. "I never saw it, nobody saw it - Turkish police officers stopped television crews from filming what happened in the tunnel." Sochaux's Lonfat added: "After the match, the players were pushed around in the tunnel leading to the changing rooms. There, the Swiss players were worked over by Turkish players and police officers. "Grichting got a kick in the privates and was bleeding. I was attacked. It is incredible." Sepp Blatter, who is himself Swiss, has revealed his outrage at the events and has threatened to exclude Turkey from the 2010 World Cup. It has also emerged that the Swiss government are considering legal action. Spokesman Raphael Saborit confirmed: "We can't exclude the possibility of there being action. "We are seeing what we can do or say but initially we need to be put in touch with the people concerned."
  20. :stunned:
