Das ist eine sehr gute Aktion von Eventim gewesen, dass zumindest nicht mehr 2 Tickets am Stück auf ebay verkauft werden können. :) Ich konnte es mir auch nicht nehmen lassen der Person, die die Tickets für über 1000 Euro verkauft hat, eine Nachricht zu hinterlassen. Ich hoffe, sie bleibt auf den ebay- und Paypal-Gebühren von über 100 Euro sitzen und bekommt Ärger mit dem Käufer. Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone here knew at approximately what time Coldplay usually arrives at the venue before a concert. Unfortunately, I can't go to their concert this week because I have an exam in the evening but I was thinking about going to the venue in the afternoon and wait outside for a bit. Any suggestions/ideas? Thanks! :)

They really were super nice!!! :) It's amazing how humble they are despite all their success. I still can't believe all of this has actually happened... :) Did nobody here videotape the end of Every Teardrop though? I'm still looking for that bit on video. :)

I know I'm a bit late with this but you're not gonna believe what happened to me... :):) Some of you guys may remeber how I posted last week that I was really disappointed because I tried everything to get a hold on a pair of tickets and even though I called 4 different radio stations with 3 phones throughout the entire week to participate, I wasn't one of the lucky few who got selected. Anyway, I found out that Coldplay were doing a taping for the Grand Journal in Paris on Tuesday and so I waited for about 6 hours outside to meet them. I was already about to give up all my hopes but in the end, the van with Chris and Jonny stopped on their way out and they both got out to take pictures with all the fans (there were about 15 of us). Since most of the fans were waiting for Chris, I got to talk to Jonny for a couple of minutes and I told him how big a fan I was, that I was originally from Germany etc. And then he started talking about their show in Cologne and I told him how desperately I had tried to get a hold of the tickets. Then he just answered "You know what, I'll put you on the guest list. What's your name?" So he pulled out his phone and wrote my name down. I could not believe it!!! It was incredible! I think I asked him like 5 times if he was serious and thanked him before they drove off. He is just sooo nice!!!! :):) So here is my question to everyone who was at the concert: Did anybody tape the very end of Every Teardrop before the band got together for the bow? I was in the very front and Chris and Jonny both recognized me during the concert but at the very end, I was holding up a sign saying "Jonny thanks 4 the invite" and when Jonny saw it, he had a huge smile on his face and gave me a thumbs up. Unfortunately, this moment isn't captured on the Rockpalast recording (in the background, you can somewhat see how Jonny is raising his arm at the 4.30 minute mark). I already looked for it on youtube but I couldn't find any recordings from ETIAW. This was probably one of the greatest moments ever so I am dying to find a video of it. :) Thanks a lot for your help! :)

Musstest du bzw. die 4 anderen dann noch irgendwas machen oder wurde per Zufall entschieden? Dann haben sich die 3x anrufen auf jeden Fall gelohnt! So ein kleines Konzert ist auf jeden Fall nochmal eine andere Erfahrung. :) Ich hatte damals 2005 Tickets für das Radiokonzert im Gloria gewonnen gehabt und ich finde man kann es gar nicht mit den großen Konzerten vergleichen. Deswegen hatte ich auch so sehr gehofft bei diesem Konzert dabei zu sein. ;) Genieße es und erzähle dann mal, wie es dir gefallen hat! :)

Wow, herzlichen Glückwunsch Freiburg1987 - das ist ja echt der Hammer! :):) Wie oft hast du denn bei der Nummer von SWR3 angerufen? :) Das hört sich aber so an, als hätten sich viele von uns richtig ins Zeug gelegt und sind am Ende leer ausgegangen. Sehr schade! :( Ich weiß gar nicht, wie viele hunderte Anrufe ich diese Woche getätigt habe (gleichzeitig von Skype, meinem deutschen und französischen Handy), um bei den Gewinnspielen von SR1, Bremen4, HR3, SWR3 und 1live mitzumachen, aber ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass es so schwierig sein würde durchzukommen. Heute hat mich der Moderator von HR3 2x extra gegrüßt, weil ich aus Paris beim Gewinnspiel mitgemacht habe und ihm gesagt habe, dass ich extra fürs Konzert nach Köln fahren würde, aber trotzdem hat er einen anderen Anrufer ausgelost. :( Das Schlimmste ist, dass viele, die gewonnen haben, gar keine so großen Fans sind wie wir und wenig Ahnung von Coldplay haben. Wie dem auch sei - ich gebe nun auf, aber ich wünsche allen von uns, die am Mittwoch dabei sind, sehr, sehr viel Spaß!!! :) Genießt für uns alle mit!!!

This is really frustrating... I managed to register with SR1 4 times but they didn't call me back a single time and they always chose someone else to win. :( How did the guys who won tickets manage to be called back? Have you registered multiple times before finally being chosen?

I didn't hear back from any of the competitions I entered. :( What a shame... Does this mean that not only the audio but also the video of the gig is going to be broadcasted though? :)

Wow that's awesome that you won the tickets even though you only answered 5 questions correctly! :) How did they call you though? Were you asked your phone number when you did the quiz? At least it only asked me for my email address, name and hometown. Did you guys have to fill out anything else? I would SO love to go to this concert... I've been trying to call einslive but since I live abroad, their stupid hotline doesn't work for me and I can't call them. :( I tried through Skype, my French mobile, my German mobile, my French fixed phone but nothing works and I am slowly giving up my hopes... :(

Yeah somebody offered me a ticket for 180 Euro - it's totally insane... :( What kind of contest is this by EMI? I haven't heard about that one... And which of the contests do we not yet know the winners of? I assume all the winners from the Orange and NRJ contests have already been contacted by now...

So did none of us coldplayers end up winning? :( I had many of my friends sign up to play on both the Orange and NRJ websites but none of them have heard anything back. Do you know if there is any kind of possibility left to get a hold of a ticket???

Has still none of the Coldplayers won? I sent several texts to NRJ but I didn't win. :( Does anyone have any idea how else we could get a hold of a ticket? I would SO love to go to that concert....

Oooooooooh this sounds absolutely awesome!!! :) How are we gonna get tickets though? I wish they would make the questions harder because this way all those people who are not big Coldplay fans can enter... Does anybody have some more info on how many tickets radio NRJ is going to give away and whether there will be tickets available anywhere else (except at Orange)?

Well I guess that after all, the information from Einslive was half-correct. ;) LP5 isn't going to be released in July but at least we'll get some new tracks. :) I wonder why they are doing this...

I was surprised myself by this piece of information, too. They said "July 1" on air two days ago. In the article it only says that it will be released in July but it doesn't give the specific date. Usually Einslive is pretty good about having accurate and the latest information. They have already organized two secret shows for Coldplay (in 2002 and 2005) and Chris has already been on air a couple of times to promote the albums... I just thought I'd share it with you guys but of course I don't know whether this information is true. :)

I don't know if anybody has listened to the German radiostation Einslive recently but two days ago, they mentioned that LP5 was going to be released on July 1. On their website, the following article appeared: Coldplay: "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall" Lang erwartet und schon von Chris Martin vor langer Zeit angekündigt, ist nun das neue Coldplay-Album endlich fertig. Damit feierten die Band am vergangenen Wochenende bei Rock am Ring und Rock im Park eine große "Wir Sind Wieder Da"-Party. Mit dabei hatten sie auch die erste Single aus dem neuen Album. "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall" ist eine absolut positive Gute-Laune-Nummer, die vom Sound stark an die Songs des letzten Albums "Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends" erinnert. Der Sound also ähnlich, aber die Optik der Band hat sich geändert. Liefen Coldplay zum letzten Album noch in bunten Armee-Jacken rum, wird nun auf den Graffiti-Style gesetzt. Auch das Cover zur neuen Single ist im Grunde ein Graffiti. Chris Martin erklärte in einem Interview, wie es dazu kam: "Die Idee habe ich aus der Graffiti-Szene des New York der 90er-Jahre geklaut. Es geht darum, frei und man selbst zu sein – egal, ob man negative Einflüsse um sich herum hat. Graffiti heißt sprechen und einer Leidenschaft folgen – auch wenn alle dagegen sind." Unsere Informationen erhalten wir größtenteils durch das Management selbst oder Pressemitteilungen. Sie stammen also ebenfalls aus sehr verlässlichen Quellen. Basically it says that they only use information from very reliable sources and that this information likely comes from press releases or directly from the management, so it is very reliable. Could it be that LP5 is already going to be released 3 weeks from today and that we don't have to wait until October??? :):)

has anyone written out the entire song though? as you all know, there are some parts missing on the wallpaper. i would love to learn to play it but since i'm not very good at playing the piano, it'd be great to have the sheet music of the entire song.
