Getting a Set list
I also tried to get a setlist at the show in Cologne, but right after the gig, the security guys told everyone in the front rows to leave. :( They really seemed to be in a hurry to get everyone out of the building and they weren't very nice either... Has anyone managed to get the setlist from the show in Cologne??

I actually wanted to upload the pictures after the concert in Paris back in June, but I could never figure out how to do it. Could you tell me so I know the next time?

Prior to the concert, I wrote them a letter asking if it was possible to dedicate a song to my girlfriend and me. I included the pictures I took with the band after their secret gig in Paris, so I was hoping that they might remember me. ;) Anyway, I gave the letter to some staff member but they couldn't promise anything. Chris ended up not saying my girlfriend's name but he said "this is for Peter" so I assume that they must have gotten my letter. :):):)

I know I should actually change my nick... it was just the name of the basketball team I played on about 10 years ago and I didn't really think about it when I signed up on this forum. ;) Has nobody taped the beginning of RoL on this forum either? I looked all over the place on youtube, but I couldn't find it. :( I would be soooo happy to have the dedication on video! :) What about the setlist, has anyone seen a copy floating around online or managed to get a copy? :) Thank you so much! :)

Tour 2008
My dream would come true if they played on July 14th in Paris b/c that's when they have a HUGE open air concert in front of the Eiffel tower. :) Last year, Nelly Furtado was also there (amongst others) and the whole thing was just incredible - I think there were something like 700,000 people at that concert. Considering the artwork and the themes of the new songs, there may be a tiny chance that this happens especially b/c they have a couple of days off around the 14th. :) But maybe I'm just dreaming b/c this would just be too amazing to be true. ;)

LIT Not by coldplay?!
Well this is what was written in the billboard review of VLVODAAHF: "Viva La Vida" begins with a strident instrumental, "Life in Technicolor," built as much on an arpeggiated synth foundation as it is on an acoustic guitar melody. The same instrumental is tacked onto the final song, "Death and All His Friends," as a hidden track dubbed "The Escapist." I think they reviewed it after RS, so they may have changed LIT after all, but who knows... ;)

Guess The "Viva La Vida" Tracklisting
do you remember one of the video messages where jonny said "i predict railways will be big in the future"? it's weird because that song (or title or whatever it was meant to be) was never mentionned afterwards and who knows, maybe it will have something to do with the album as well?! ;)

Which song synopsis sounds the most intriguing?
has anyone heard of the CP song 'everything will be down'? i just found this on the website of a german radiostation: Coldplay arbeiten schon seit über einem Jahr an ihrem vierten Studioalbum, zusammen mit Brian Eno und Timbaland. Gerüchten zufolge soll die Platte "Prospekt" benannt werden und insgesamt schräger klingen als die drei Vorgänger. Es gibt schon eine ganze Liste an Songtiteln, darunter "Lost!", "Violet Hill", "Cemeteries Of London" und "Everything Will Be Down" (ein Duett mit Nicole Scherzinger). it basically says that coldplay have been working on their new album for over a year and that according to rumours, LP4 is going to be named prospekt (this article is from january when quite a few sources told us the same thing). and then it mentions all the songs that may end up on the album, but i've never heard of the last one before. anyone have some information on this? usually, einslive (the radio station) is a pretty reliable source, as coldplay have already done an acoustic session in 2002 for them and as they were also in charge of the buzz gig in cologne back in 2005.

What If Single ?????
It just sounded like they wanted to release The Hardest Part as a single and maybe What If in just a couple of selected countries. Too bad it's not true because I personally think it's one of the best songs they've ever done. I'm sure they were planning on releasing it as a single (when the album came out) because they recorded it at TOTP for example along with Speed of Sound. To me, it seems like people either hate or love that song. I've been in love with it ever since I heard the recording of it at the Universal Amphitheatre in LA about a year ago. However, I think the album version is not nearly as good as any live version, so I think the guys would have had to spice up the studio recording a little bit. Maybe more people would have like it then. I just think the lyrics are great and IMO it's just a "classic" Coldplay song, like The Scientist or Trouble. So I'm not all that sure if only the most devoted Coldplay fans would like it if it was released as a single... I remember reading that it was in some top 20 (or even 10?) of the best songs of 2005 - no other song off X&Y made it on that list. Unfortunately, I can't remember who was in charge of that list, but I read it in the news section of this site ;)
