  1. bump any news on this?
  2. I would definitely miss the piano too! I remember listening to Trouble for the first time on radio back in 2000 or 2001, and that's when I instantly fell in love with Coldplay. It was especially the piano intro that gave me chills every time I listened to it and most of the Coldplay songs I like best feature the piano, like Trouble, What If and The Scientist. However, I'm sure that the new album will be great even if it goes more into the direction of Twisted Logic, but I can also imagine that Coldplay only mentioned this about the pianos to get some rumours and speculations going. I'm still hoping that they will include the piano at least some...
  3. I absolutely LOVE What If and it's be soooo awesome if it was their next single. I'll keep my fingers crossed... :)
  4. I'm so glad they put What If back into the setlist just in time for the DVD!! :) Does anyone know when it's going to be released approximately?
  5. Does anyone have the setlist??
  6. I would love the setlist to be something like this: Square One Politik Yellow Speed Of Sound Trouble X&Y Amsterdam White Shadows The Scientist Acoustic set: Til Kingdom Come Green Eyes Sparks Clocks Gravity The Hardest Part Talk Encore: Shiver What If In My Place Fix You It'd be a little longer than the usual set, but -except for Gravity- all the songs have been played on the tour. I think they definitely should start out with Square 1, Politik and Yellow, and I'm sure they will. Speed of Sound isn't my fav, but since it was their 1st single of the album and a big hit, they HAVE to play it. Then I think they should take out Trouble of the acoustic set; even though it's nice to see that they now play it on a regular basis, they should play the "classic" version because it's much better in my opinion. ...and maybe they could leave out GPASUYF instead, even though I highly doubt it because it's always been played on the tour. X&Y should also be included because it's the title track of the album and it's also a lot better than Low. I think most people would agree with me on that. Amsterdam is one of the fans' favorites and I think it shouldn't be missing on the set. I think it was always well received on the tour. I don't think I need to say much about White Shadows, The Scientist and Clocks - they all have to stay where they are in the set. In the acoustic set, they have to include Til Kingdom Come, but I would also love to see Green Eyes instead of Trouble or Don't Panic as well as Sparks. They played it a couple of times in 2005, for example in LA and Hamburg, and it's one of the songs that should have already been on the 2003 DVD, so now it'd be a good time to make it up. Instead of playing HYSTW2, it's be a great surprise to hear Gravity live because I think it's highly anticipated by a lot of fans to hear a live full-band version of the song. It would probably be a big surprise if they played it after Clocks. They will also probably play The Hardest Part because it's going to be their next single. I personally would rather see Swallowed in the Sea here, but if they include THP, they should leave out Swallowed in the Sea and play What If instead. It's such a beautiful song and they've played so little unfortunately. When they first played it, Chris kept introducing it as the best song they ever wrote so it'd be a huge shame if they left it out. So PLEASE include it - now matter where you put it!!!! :) Talk also has to be played to get some energy going - no doubt. I think it'd be also very interesting to see them start the encore with Shiver. They did it twice during the tour and I think on both occasions, the crowd just went nuts. So that'd be really nice to mix up things a little bit. And of course, they have to end everything with In My Place and Fix You, that's for sure! :) Hopefully, they will let the crowd do a lot of the singing! So that would be the perfect setlist of this tour although I don't think it will happen. ;) It'd be awesome to hear What If and the "classic" version of Trouble - as long as they do that, I'll be happy. :)
  7. Sleeping Sun was a B-Side on the release of Talk. If that's what you're asking about...?!
  8. They have played it, but only at the beginning of the tour. I think the last time the played it must have been sometime in June/July. Does anyone know why they took it out of the setlist? It's such a beautiful song!!!
  9. I'm really hoping that they'll release What If as a single because in my opinion it's the best song on the album. When they did some pre-X&Y shows, Chris often introduced it as "probably the best song we ever wrote" (which I agree with). I just don't understand why they haven't been playing it at all lately since it sounds soooo much better live than the studio version.
  10. Thanks for the setlist!! I can't believe we finally got it! ;)
  11. I would have been extremly surprised if they hadn't played Square 1 and Politik. Cece, do you remember if they played songs like What If, A Message and The Hardest Part?
  12. Can somebody confirm this setlist who actually attended the gig?? I can't imagine that they played What If, The Hardest Part and A Message all at the same show (since they haven't played these songs in a long long time) while they left out the opening tracks (Square One and Politik)! That just seems really weird to me! :wink3:
  13. could anybody post the setlist, please??
  14. Thanks Nonoas!!! Looks like a great setlist! I bet Trouble was awesome!
  15. could anybody post the setlist please??
  16. Sounds like you had a great time caro!!! Does anyone here have the setlist of the gig?? Thanks!!!
  17. That's true, but I really wish they had played Trouble in Oberhausen too!! I love that song!!!
  18. That's really weird because sebyitaly seems to have been there last night as well (he posted some vids in the multimedia section) but his setlist is not even close to yours. I'm sure he didn't mix it up with the one from Milano because he even said that they played (almost) the same one last night. Anyway, it's not like I don't believe you Sydney, it just seems odd to me.
  19. according to sebyitaly this was the setlist 1.square one 2.politik 3.yellow 4.speed of sound 5.god put a smile 6.x&y 7.trouble 8.white shadows 9.how you see the world 10.the scientist 11.till kingdom come 12.ring of fire (j. cash) 13.simple twist (b. dylan) 14.clocks 15.talk 16.shiver 17.in my place 18.fix you (which would be the same as in Milan) so which one is correct???? did they really play parachutes, sydney?
