How shocking to see Coldplay the overwhelming favorite on a Coldplay board. Was this poll even necessary? How can Zeppelin be on there when they don't make music anymore? If you put them on there, you have to put The Beatles, Stones, Joy Division, etc. on as well.

75 minutes??? That's really terrible. With ticket prices as high as they are now, I'm kinda glad I couldn't afford them this time.

I expected a much larger total than 464,000. An impressive number, but I thought it was going to be well into the 600,000 range. The hype for this album has been unreal over the past few months.

I don't like metal at all, but I love System of a Down. Toxicity is an undeniable classic, Mezmerize is also very strong.

You're fooling yourself if you don't believe that the lyrics on this album are a step down from the previous 2. They aren't bad, but they are certainly average. The more I listen to this album though, the more impressed I am with the instrumentals. With the exception of 1 or 2 songs, they nailed it musically.

I was never a huge fan of AROBTTH, so this ranks above that by a lot. There's no snoozers on here like A Whisper or Daylight. I can't stop playing White Shadows, X&Y, Fix You, Square One, What If, and Low. The only song I can't get into is Twisted Logic.

Fix You is the best song to me, but I've played it out so much that I'm a little tired of it. I'll go with White Shadows.

LOL at Kasabian's CD being protected. So the 10 people that initially wanted to hear it just dropped to 5. ...an X&Y works fine on iTunes.

If it's true I won't be buying it. I use my iPod in my car, home stereo, everything. Kinda makes it pointless to buy the CD if I can't put it on there. Fuckin greedy record companies.

It's not a bad review actually. People face it: X&Y is not a 5 star album. It has it's weaknesses, and at least Rolling Stone backed it's opinion up with some constructive criticism. I'd give it a 3.5, but I can see where they're coming from.

In the US I think it will sell about 550,000 in it's first week. After the first week, the charts usually depend on word of mouth. My guess is that it will sell between about 2.5 to 3 million copies. It's not album that's going to blow anybody away, but not many people will say they wasted money on it.

How could a major newspaper like the New York Times print an article where the reviewer admits he doesn't like Coldplay??? And I'm shocked to realize Coldplay spawned a band like Travis. :rolleyes:

dcbc.... just admit that you can't stand Coldplay. We get it already. Any review that says "Speed of Sound" is the best track on X&Y cannot possibly be "spot on".

I can't believe what my eyes have seen in this topic. Coldplay a better band than Radiohead? The Bends is their ONLY good album? People saying X&Y is a better album than Kid A when it hasn't even been officially released yet? I understand love for your favorite band, but come on people....

At least we know it's ripped. It should be on Soulseek by tomorrow, maybe even tonight.

The album leaked today and we're trying to compare it to CD's we've been listening to for years???? Aren't we jumping the gun a bit?

You can find Finding Out True Love Is Blind on any p2p program. I was excited for their album after I heard the Illegal Tender EP, but their album is a huge letdown. If you've heard the single, you've heard the entire album. As far as lyrical content, it's just the singer finding 74829357029357 different ways to say he wants to nail random girls over and over and over and over and over.

:lol: at predicting his every move after waking up. These are some true Coldplay fans. The album isn't going to be up on MTV.com until tomorrow. Was kinda hoping for today.
