Haha anyone else think that SOS almost sounds a bit out of place on this album now?...

I kind of don't know what to think either. I don't hate it, but so far I'm not like "THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!".... I think it'll just have to grow on me...my feelings will probably change once I have the actual cd in my hands..

My first impression after hearing this was....where's the piano? I know that they "reinvented" themselves and all that, but I was hoping for atleast one piano song. Besides that...I do like it :) I'll probably have more opinions after I listen a few times and it sinks in more.

This probably sounds like an ignorant question...because I don't live in the UK....is The Crazy Frog the same thing from those Jamster ads? Like the ones that used to be on Myspace and sometimes on the tv?

Fix You compares more to Amsterdam is my opinion....but either way The Scientist rules them all :)

If I'm in the right mood I'll cry...but the songs that provoke it more are Amsterdam, Warning Sign, and for some reason...Trouble..

So if any of you in California have noticed...on the official website it lists august 20th AND the 21st as dates they are playing in Irvine. I've looked at other places where all the tour dates are mentioned, and only the 20th is listed in all of them, even the venue's website. So is this just a mistake? Or are they going to be here for two nights?? I just had an important event come up for that same exact weekend and I'm FREAKING OUT because I doubt I'd make it to the 20th...and I'm praying that they're playing the 21st too.....

Yeah the online ticketmaster doesn't even have any California shows up... :angry: I say...if you have a fast computer, go for it. But if you don't, don't risk it and just go to box office.

Wow...i don't think I've ever gone a YEAR without Coldplay but I know I have gone a long time without them. I love the feeling of listening to the CD again after a long break and realizing how much you love it :)

I've been made fun of for liking Coldplay, but by people who like all those crazy screamo bands or people who like just straight up rap and nothing else, both of which I HATE. Same people who made fun of me for liking Radiohead... when some of my friends came over I popped in their cd and everybody was like :huh: :o :huh: hahahaha. I think it's just opposite music tastes. Or just that everybody my age likes crappy music... BUT I do know alot of people who like Coldplay though :) Maybe not as much as me...but they do like them.

Wtf is Crazy Frog? Haha is this some UK thing I'm uninformed about? Either way, Professor Peedston makes a very good point. I know I probably won't buy Speed of Sound.. *dodges tomatoes*.....but I'm buying X&Y for SURE.

I'm pretty sure Chris is just joking around about this...like how he said that maybe he should kill himself because then his work would be appreciated more since he's dead, or something like that..you guys know what I'm talking about. I think it'd be pretty funny to see her in Fix You though...hahah she'd be so out of place.. :lol:

I got it to work now... just had to disable my browser's pop-up blocker..HAH. But I swear I figured this out before I saw your post, timeisonyourside ;) I love the video! I love how it progressively just gets crazier and then ends with just them...simply Coldplay :)

I can't download the live version of this because...well I've already downloaded too many previews and I don't want to spoil any more ;) BUT...from the 30 second preview I heard, this song sounds AMAZING and it grabbed me from the very first listen, which is pretty rare for me. I think its going to be one of my favorites!..

So far...Fix You...its just...beautiful :blush: Especially towards the end when all of them sing, "tears stream down your face, when you lose something you cannot replace" and "tears stream down your face, I promise you I will learn from my mistakes"...they all sound so sincere.. it's almost tear-jerking. :cry: I'm sure I'll have more favorites when the album actually comes out :)

For some reason the coldplayer doesn't work AT ALL on my computer. It doesn't even pop up when I click it. Oh well...that's why I use my sister's wonderful Mac when my computer is being stupid :) Ill watch it tomorrow! WOOP

Yeah strangely enough SOS does sound like one of the weaker tracks. Maybe because it almost sounds like it could be on AROBTTH and the rest of the tracks definitely belong on X&Y...

I hope they include Trouble in their setlist...I've always wanted to hear that one live for some reason. Probably because it was the first Coldplay song I ever had the pleasure of hearing :) And then for my very unrealistic dream....They finish their set, come back out for on encore and play Crests of Waves. I'd DIE. But it'll never happen.. :embarrased:

I wish I lived on the east coast...I'd love to see Coldplay at MSG..
