I voted for X...aw but there's a part of me that just loves A Message, Low and The Hardest Part... this poll is hard, haha.

This is kind of random and stupid, but whenever I listen to X&Y...when he sings "fighting with my weak hand"..I can't help but laugh because it reminds me of Scary Movie 2... "TAKE MY HAND!!"

I miss their piano too...alot. I listened to AROBTTH today kind of in between my listens of X&Y...and it hit me how much I do miss it. I like the end of The Hardest Part where the piano kicks in though :)

I'm liking the album art...the yellow and green pages are especially cool :cool:

Haha definitely don't know if X&Y is one I can relax to....but hey, maybe this album will make people stop thinking that Coldplay is just a bunch of music that makes you feel sleepy!

I love X&Y. From listening to that 30 second clip...I expected it to be totally different than it really is...it surprised me at first, but I really like it now.

This song is absolutely beautiful... more Amsterdam-ish rather than The Scientist though.

I've mostly been listening to Square One, X&Y and A Message. God how I love A Message right now.

I think X&Y is definitely a grower... I noticed that I'm liking the songs more and more as I listen to them. The first time I heard Talk (old version)...I was close to actually hating it. But now I really like it. Same with AROBTTH...at first I thought the title track and Amsterdam were kinda boring...but now I'm in love with them. I'm glad that Coldplay don't really have shower albums.... I love that I can listen to them whenever and not be sick of them :)

From Coldplay's commentary on each song: 'Twisted Logic' "It's our first attempt at singing something which isn't about a girl or girls or friends. it's as politicial as we've been able to get, and it's supposed to be an optimistic end to the album." I think that answers your question :)

Coldplay is one of the only bands that I'll actually buy from...because I actually want to support them. With most other bands I just download or burn all their stuff... :sneaky:

My favorites so far are Square One, A Message, and X&Y. I'm sure these will change within like, two days though.. :P

Yeah I don't think X&Y is simplified.... I think it's a bit overproduced, but only comparing it to their previous albums, not other bands or anything. One thing I loved about Coldplay was that they could carry a damn good song with few instruments...which is one thing I think makes them such a good live band too, and now I'm worried they've passed that stage. I guess what I'm trying to say is....I MISS THE PIANO :cry: Either way, I still do really like the new stuff, it's just gonna take me a little bit to love it.

I can't put them in an order right now...I think I still need a few days, but my top favorites at the moment are Square One, A Message, X&Y and White Shadows

I actually really like A Message!! I don't think it's the best song though.

I see the similarities between The Pyramid Song and X&Y.....but I think I like X&Y better... :D

I agree that SOS doesn't really represent the album. I think they really should have chosen something different, something that makes it more obvious that they've gone in a different direction with this album. BUT I'm sure they thought long and hard about the first single....and I'm sure there's a good reason as to why they chose SOS.. :)
