  1. I feel like this album's held up very well. I haven't seen setlists from this tour but it's a rare thing to be going to see a band who are 9 albums in and to be every bit as stoked on the new stuff as you are the classics.
  2. Yeah it must have been something like that - there were 10000 people ahead of me so the fact that I have seats right down near the floor is amazing. Looks like a decent view of the stage too, I can't wait for this!!
  3. This continues to grow on me and I think it smashes AHFOD. I'd still take Everyday Life over it but I'm really enjoying this. I've had various bits stuck in my head for days.
  4. I wonder where the seats supposedly starting at £27 were? Probably nosebleeds. I did NOT expect to be offered seats right down near the floor - they were £125 a pop with fees and everything but I had money put aside for this so of course I went for that. The two people I'm going with are paying me back for their tickets anyway, and more importantly I'm seeing Coldplay again, let's go!
  5. Just finished my first listen and I HATE that Apple Music screwed up the song transitions - especially because the interlude tracks clearly flow into the next song on the tracklist. That aside, I really like this; it comes across as the band reconnecting with their pop instincts but it's a boldly experimental record even within those confines. Absolutely adore Coloratura and I'm glad I waited to hear it in context. Humankind is going to be MASSIVE live, I feel like it could have worked as a single but I get why we only got two proper ones. Excited to listen again later!
  6. So this is what became of The Man Who Swears - knew I recognised some of the lyrics! I really like the riff, I didn't think the band would turn around and write a glam-rock stomper of a song on an album like MOTS. Definitely into it.
  7. A L I E N S is an absolutely phenomenal song, ahhhhh. <3333
  8. The original running order before the change was: AICTAIY SJLT studio version A L I E N S Miracles (Someone Special) Hypnotised I think having the live version thrown in there hurts the flow of the EP so have tossed it for the studio version and fixed the tracklisting. Much better.
  9. Genuinely curious so someone please answer this Q if possible: Why did the studio version of Something Just Like This get bumped for a live version? Doing so obviously contributed to the EP being delayed, but did they just not have the rights to use the studio version, and how does that work as the band themselves have 80% of the writing credits for the song? Weird as hell.
  10. I like how they clearly forgot they already had a song called Miracles and had to add the brackets, hahah. Very good song. On that sort of motivational, self-help vibe that came just at the right time for me.
  11. Good to be back, thanks y'all :)
  12. Hi! I clearly haven't been on here in a long time because the forum has changed massively since the last time I was active to any significant degree. Which I think was during the Mylo Xyloto era. Anyway, hi, I'm from Ireland (and yes I did see the boys last week just FYI), 24, an unemployed student, a drummer, and really approachable. Used to love this place, then forgot about it, then got SUPER back into Coldplay a few weeks back during the build-up to the new EP, and now here I am. Can't for the life of me remember what username I had, but in any case it wasn't tied to an email address I still had access to. New start then? :D
