FIX YOU - No: 4 !!!!!!
at the end of the day im sure that coldplay themselves wont be too bothered as they are an album band and getting an album to number one in 28 countries is incredible, and something that the other 39 acts in the top 40 will never achieve. only people like rachel stevens care about chart positions because their fickle pop careers are based on every single they release, and one bad position can spell their doom. also to the guy who was going on about people who only buy the album and not the singles not being 'true fans', i bought the album but im not buying the singles, ive got the tracks already and the b-sides i can get elsewhere. as i said, im not bothered about where coldplay get to in the singles charts - it would be great if they got a number one but im not going to lose sleep over it. maybe they should be more tactful about their release dates and try and avoid silly novelty acts. it seems like every time they have a single release there is a new hyped up idiot who will beat them to the top spot (darius, crazy frog, pussycat thingy)

chris martin's jacket
funny mentioning chris' clothes, when the scientist video came out i really wanted one of those black shirts that he wears in it but couldnt find a decent one anywhere

they should hae played Politik
'a message' would also have worked quite well in the context of the show

Glasgow,Sat 2nd July 2005
i was also at the gig last night, absolutely amazing is a huge understatement! they were definitely in a good mood, chris kept asking if the crowd were in as good a mood as they were, and said he was glad to be spending 'the most historic day in the history of music' in glasgow. i was so glad i didnt go on the friday like some people i knew, because they were so pumped up for the gig on saturday thanks to live 8. 'talk' was a highlight, sounded fantastic live! the crowd were really loud and up for it, especially when some of the lyrics were changed to suit the gig! i was surprised to hear 'what if' in the encore, i only expected 'in my place' and 'fix you' - a very nice surprise! at the end chris kept repeating the word 'amazing' and genuinely looked taken aback when everyone was singing 'fix you' at the top of their voices. for a song that hasnt been released as a single, you could tell that everyone loved it and knew every word. so much so that chris didnt have to sing the last chorus at the end of the song, because the crowd were so loud. this was my first live coldplay experience even though ive been a big fan since the start, cant wait till i see them again! phenomenal

Chris just did the funniest thing
well that was an unexpected bonus i usually watch jonathan ross anyway, but i thought coldplay would be on performing SOS tonight, but 3 songs! quality. he did the crazy frog in the middle of the first two songs, then again at the end of 'fix you' :D

no one likes FIX YOU?
fix you is fantastic, possibly my favourite song on the album. i had been listening to the SNL performance loads before i managed to hear the studio version so i had high expectations. i love the album version though

Talk (leaked ages ago) vs Proper X&Y Talk
i loved the older version, the lyrics were great i thought. the new version is growing on me, but i will definetely be listening to both versions as opposed to one or the other
