  1. but how can: compare to: the first one, I know you had a good time. the second one, I know WHY you had a good time, what your personal highlights were, and some of the things that happened that didn't make it on to youtube. don't get me wrong, 140 characters is brilliant mid-gig so you know feel like you know what's going on, but there's nothing like a review to give you a clearer picture of the full show. I guess I'm missing seeing lots of reviews with all the different personal highlights, and different opinions as to what was good & bad. doesn't need to be a long one, but surely our boys (and our money!) are worth more than 140 characters?
  2. Just wondering. The board seems very quiet this time around. There's loads of videos and photos to be had, but very few people seem to be writing reviews. What happened to all the review writers?
  3. Now feels like an ideal time to remind everyone of the warning in the first post.
  4. of course! but just wondered why a Manchester radio station would give away tickets and have a meet & greet in Sunderland when there are 2 shows in Manchester just a few days later. doesn't seem logical to me
  5. head over to the Manchester Key 103 website. they're giving away tickets to Sunderland and have a meet & greet comp for Sunderland too
  6. am only a little confused as to why a Manchester radio station is giving away tickets to Sunderland but never mind!!

  8. Hello, we know we have been a little bit disappeared lately, sorry for that. But today I'm here to talk you about the last show we have attended: Coldplay at Estadio Vicente Calderón, Madrid. Forming part of their Mylo Xyloto tour, which started also in Madrid last October. Coldplay are known for holding the most spectacular shows, we know why now. In the first place, when the gates opened and we got into the stadium, we were given some wristbands which were supposed to shine when the show started. Then we ran and we get front row sits, or at least something like that. Because some people had paid lots of money for a special ticket and they had a space reserved, we thought that space was going to be little, but it was pretty big, so we were way too far from the stage. Anyway the first thing we did was forgive that and enjoy the show. During the permorfance of the first guest: Rita Ora, the weather was not too nice and it rained heavily, but with the second one: Marina and the diamonds, it stopped just on time. All the crowd was very worried afraid of the rain or the show being cancelled. And finally, it was turn for Coldplay to show up! The stage was all the way decorated with paintings, screens and lots of colors, fluorescent colors (something like the Charlie Brown video). Then it started and I was so much amazed that I can't describe how it was, I think you have to attend to get it right. All I can say is that this show has been the most spectacular, amazeballs and extremely awesome one i have ever seen. Seriously, the fireworks, and all the details were beautiful. Specially the effect of the wristbands which shined with some songs. As you see it included their classics with their most famous hits from their last album: Mylo Xyloto. And in between Chris Martin talked in Spanish and told us to jump or scream. The organization was perfect, no problems and no fights so that we were surrounded by that kind of bliss and peace sensation. All very beautiful and very funny. http://nothingbutmusicwall.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/coldplay-was-back-in-madrid.html
  9. This week deserves two blog posts just because of the fact that Jose and I took a whirlwind 24 hour trip to Nice to see Coldplay. Every step of the way I told myself we were crazy for doing it (particularly since I hate flying!) but it was well worth it. The stadium was packed with 45,000 fans and when they sang "Viva La Vida" you just couldn't help yourself but jump and down and act like a crazy 20 year old (which I'm soooo not!). And "Fix You" literally brought tears to my eyes the minute Chris Martin started singing. What an amazing song to hear live! I had wanted to see Coldplay since forever, one more scratched off the bucket list! http://ivettej.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/coldplay.html
  10. It is knowledge of all the fact that Coldplay's live music so much prevail as the real show but, after seeing his concert yesterday at the Estadio Vicente Calderon, admittedly with MyloXylotoTour have gone a step further in As spectacular. Londoners were preceded by the charismatic Rita Ora, who had to face the elements with their most danceable and brash as the rain lashed right and left. It was so much water that fell in a moment that Twitter saw the stadium reflected the discouragements of the present with the trending topic # ColdplayCancela. Fortunately for the present, with the release scenario Marina & The Diamonds, the rain let up leaving her restrained directly Welsh interprentar whose only jarring moment was the closing song, 'Primadonna', which gave way to the concert from the main group . The quartet led by Chris Martin took the stage at 22:03 accompanied by the soundtrack of 'Back to the Future' and the eponymous introductory theme 'Mylo Xyloto'. What followed was the union epileptic visual pyrotechnics, lighting and the groundbreaking 'Hurts Like Heaven', along with over 55,000 sparkling bracelets given to each attendee at the entrance that throbbed to the beat of the songs. The stand became a constellation. 'In My Place', 'Major Minus' and 'Lovers In Japan' preceded the beautiful intimacy of 'The Scientist', 'Yellow' and 'Violet Hill' and the explosive 'God Put A Smile Upon Your Face'. Here came the first break, related to the change to B-Stage, located at the tip of the huge gateway vertebraba the track. Once there happened 'Princess Of China', with an eastern Rihanna reflected in the five huge circular stage screens, 'Up In Flames' and 'Warning Sign'. Around the Main Stage marked the climax of the concert with four songs-anthem 'Do not Let It Break Your Heart', 'Viva La Vida', 'Charlie Brown' and 'Paradise'. One after another burst into the ears of the present while they chanted slogans, namely Uooohs and Aaahhs. New break and change to C-Stage, a small platform in front of the bottom tier where they performed 'Us Against The World' and a successful acoustic version of 'Speed Of Sound'. The encore came represented by two of his most acclaimed and enduring themes, 'Clocks' and 'Fix You' and Guindado with 'Every Teadrop Is a Waterfall'. Needless to say, the rush time the song was accompanied by an incredible amount of visual pyrotechnics and left a taste in my mouth more than good to all attendees. A total of 21 topics that could differentiate their change of style in recent years, and more with 'Mylo Xyloto'. If you have been good or bad, I leave to your discretion, although it is undeniable that without this change the show, possibly, had reduced their spectacular by far. The other side of the coin, the organization, pending the Spanish stage. Over 3000 people had their seats filled by other participants to have duplicate entries due to incoordination of the distributors. http://aftermusiic.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/el-dia-en-que-coldplay-ilumino-madrid.html
  11. While searching for blogs, I've seen a few mentions that there were 3000 duplicate tickets. I can't find anything that google translate makes sense of in english though :\
  12. And the most controversial Coldplay the last ten years came to Madrid, his only stop Spanish (and I say controversial attacks by "Mylo Xyloto" has received, if before they had enemies, now doubled, is what you grow and become bigger and bigger and reach more audience). It is surprising that it is the second time in less than a year that pass through the Spanish capital in defiance of other cities and is, apparently, Chris Martin does not it funny the amount of criticism that his latest and controversial concert in Barcelona caused. Why? Chris and his wish to put the official DVD of the tour of "Viva La Vida" (2008) at the Olympic Stadium Lluís Companys in Barcelona and everything pointed to that would be an unforgettable evening had it not been for the constant sound and technical problems boos from the audience. Weathered the storm as they could (damn good, it must be said) and Chris was left in memory, that is why, to present "Mylo Xyloto" (which to us still seems a sensational album) chose not happen to Madrid and despite the rain, staged one of the most spectacular concerts that took place in the bullring of Las Ventas . Was it therefore necessary to another concert in less than a year in the same city? Yes, "Mylo Xyloto" is a great album that grows slowly, with setbacks (why deny it), much less inspired than "Viva La Vida" or the unique "Parachutes" (2000) and "A Rush Of Blood To The Head "2002 (with which also made two stops in our city when they were not yet mass group they are now) but it remains an album of" stadium pop "(in the broadest sense), with all good and bad that entails. Currently seeing Coldplay live is to understand the reason for its success, is to witness the unstoppable rise of a group that wants to be as big as U2 (and he is doing) and still may not have reached its tipping point . Coldplay, ten years of his first album, are as exciting and refreshing, controversial and should be huge as Bono and The Edge if they still feel like (feel the constant and irritating comparisons with the Irish band's career but Coldplay and the the Dublin holds many points in common and write about one is to mention the other at all times). All nonsense, absurdity, genius and paradox of four kids who are filling stadiums wherever they go beyond have been in his concert in Madrid. A cold rainy night, typical of a spring that fails to leave us for my eighth concert of the group (yes, you read correctly, I know what I write) and could not have been better. A good fitting (the coming-of "Mylo Xyloto" ) and the Vicente Calderon stadium and filled to the flag (packed with people even in the chaos hits and everything to gain entry). Where were all these people when Coldplay almost ten years ago we were left planted on the same night canceling the concert a little over a thousand spectators during the tour of his first album ("Parachutes") to do a gig in London? And when they played on the tour of "A Rush Of Blood To The Head" and we electrified the few who were present with that "Politik" that sounded like heaven? The price of filling a stadium is great because between sixty thousand people there are very upstart who attends the concert like a fashion show they were unavoidable and there are few who enjoy his music. A spectacular entrance to the main theme of "Back to the Future" by Alan Silvestri and all treinteañeros sighing at the memory of Marty McFly, "Mylo Xyloto" and warm up with "Hurts Like Heaven" while downloading dozens of fireworks. With "In My Place" is put people in my pocket and achieved the first chorus in unison around the stadium. "Major Minus" (acute) and again a direct jaw hit "Lovers In Japan" and tons of confetti. Chris, Jonny, Will and Guy have it clear and will not skimp on any resources. If to be great we have to do what they do, let a thousand times, more screens, more runways, more lighting, more guitars, more confetti and fireworks that Kiss themselves, we use both seem a device that Rammstein fans. Do you want to rock? I have the version of "God Put A Smile Upon Your Face" transformed in his particular "Where The Streets Have No Name" and if they want to know what is really great that we can become, we hesitate pace of the concert with an unnecessary "Princess of China" with the canned voice of Rihanna then resurrect and raise sixty thousand souls in three songs direct to the stomach as "Viva La Vida", the great "Charlie Brown" and the child but resultona "Paradise" but not before excite the most sensitive to the gem that is "Up In Flames' repertoire because we have to touch the hearts of each and every one of the attendees. And finally, as if nothing had happened, they take the last ace of the sleeve with "Clocks" (and a thousand laser effects), "Fix You" (more fireworks) and the sovereign is tacky "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall "but to which one has nothing else to take your hat and discover it live is an explosion of joy. Today there is no more vital and positive experience to see Coldplay live, is an injection of optimism and with them it seems that summer has started to rain because we respected. 13. Galactic catharsis in the first Coldplay concert stadium in Madrid As in Sales, but galactic. Coldplay has been featured in the colossal Vicente Calderon and his first real concert stadium in Madrid, just six months after its previous meeting in that legendary bullring in the capital to present to the world via Internet-his latest album, Mylo Xyloto . Even then the rain was about to ruin the night. What is then left in a soft chirimiri, has become one hour before the concert on Sunday in a driving rain that has made many fear for their cancellation. In the end, even had time to watch the last rays of sun and remove the tents that protect the computer to fully enjoy the big stage, with four large screens in the form of portholes and a huge background of colorful graffiti, according with urban leitmotiv of his fifth album . Something having cathartic these quotes, inviting to believe in the impossible even more cynical, especially if the hostess is a band that has sold over 50 million albums with songs like "Fix You" , whose mystical body boot ecclesiastical propelled into a whirlwind holiday, one of many of the night, and supports "incendiarte bones" and "fix" the broken. Gone are the Sales, the Palacio de los Deportes, Vistalegre or, above all, his nights at Pacha. Fireworks, confetti, lasers, giant balloons bouncing through the crowd ... The British quartet, who began his career in the mid-90s, has made the jump to his first major stadium in Madrid, repeating the strategy in November and multiplying the extramusical added to fit the new forum. A big stage "Is there anybody there?" Asked the singer Chris Martin, after drawing on boot with " Hurts Like Heaven "and a sea of colored lights to the more than 50,000 people present, half of whom bought their tickets a few hours after going on sale in January, shortly after also fill Sales. Since then, this Sunday we have combined acoustic moments with more grand and great success with eleven new songs. So there have been " In my place , "A Rush of Blood To the Head (2002)," Major Minus "by Mylo Xyloto (2011), or " Lovers in Japan "from his acclaimed Viva la Vida (2008) , one of the small variations in the repertoire, with the inclusion of "Warning Sing", "Speed of Sound" and the recent Pricess of China, a duet with Rihanna , who has appeared on the screens characterized as a geisha. "We are very happy to be here tonight in this beautiful city," Martin said in Spanish, giving even the ears of those present, who have reached an emotional ecstasy " The Scientist "and" Yellow , "his first single, Launched in 2000, when its overall success has not generated much resentment. "We love great songs play on big stages," acknowledged Efe in an interview, a judgment has been good this evening to drop what is probably its global success, Viva la Vida, with its epic chorus designed to leave hoarse Meanwhile the crowd "uoooh" Martin and dragged along the ground as a sign of exhaustion. To expand on this state of extreme happiness, have continued to " Paradise "and" Charlie Brown ", with which they have reappeared bright colored bracelets startup. Following their ability to ration the great moments, the British have offered an acoustic set consisting of "Us Against The World and Speed of Sound" that have provided the perfect counterpoint to the last burst of energy. It has come to the very end that made up for Sales and earned them a white pañolada task best: " Clocks "," Fix You "and" Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall ", from new explosions of fireworks. "And in a month, Bruce , "he said at the exit one of the participants, referring to the upcoming Springsteen concert at the Santiago Bernabeu , welcoming these great nights of rock stadium in Madrid. http://www.rtve.es/noticias/20120521/catarsis-galactica-primer-concierto-estadio-coldplay-madrid/529598.shtml
  14. it's a once in a lifetime opportunity at completely the wrong time :dozey: there is no way I can be in london on that date
  15. might be worth ringing them to check the status of your individual order. Ian's Wembley 2009 tickets for the 18th September still hadn't arrived the week before and he ended up having to change the order to collect the tickets at the venue because he was away from home all week.
  16. you might be alright with it. i ordered a medium white cafepress maternity t-shirt for Wembley and it was very close fitting. if I'd been a few more weeks along, bump wouldn't have fitted in!! I've worn it quite a few times since then and it fits fine and doesn't look baggy anywhere
  17. we have unreserved seats for Manchester and plan to get there as the gates open. from what we observed at Wembley, the ones queuing want front row standing so they'll all race in as the gates open, leaving you to stroll in and find a decent seat.
  18. Some more blog reviews: Hey rubys! Day May 18, 2012. This date will be in memory of at least 50 000 people who attended the Coldplay concert at the Stadium of the Dragon, and a few more who loved to go but were not. In a word, the show boils down to "WOW". Coldplay proved they are one in the Port of the best bands in contemporary music: Pop and Rock met in a perfect marriage. By early evening the rain decided to take off their skills, but the Portuguese from all over the country felt more free to Coldplay, and fearless, headed to Dragon Stadium as a League final Capões they were. However Rita heated environment. Underside of an awning arranged in the fight against the rain, protected from the new Jay-Z songs warmed the room with the wave R & B and Raggae. Comparisons with Rihanna come and go, but I think it is best to give you some more time to grow as an artist. This was followed by Marina and The Diamonds. With a bright dress and an umbrella in hand, singer regained at the Dragon sounds of the '80s. First were the ballads, then a large rock to finish. The music could be very good, but the more desirable of the night had yet to arrive. He played the music of Back to the Future and the men of the most anticipated night of the year ... or hinder empalco. "Mylo Xyloto" names the album, tour and will be presented to the first song. It is impossible to talk about Coldplay without talking about color and this was soon to appear with the first session of fireworks. A career dominated by success always results in a show dominated by success. "Im My Place" was the first. In a concert that seemed more a roller coaster goes quiet music and fast pace, followed by "Lovers in Japan", then "The Scientist", which showed the ability of Coldplay grab the audience (and the Portuguese know all the lyrics! .) The Blue Dragon Stadium habitually turned yellow, approaching more successful. "Yellow", as usual, began with Chris Martin on piano and with the Portuguese to sing along. The show then became the major sector for the island created in the center of the crowd. He even "Princess of China," the new single from Coldplay accompanied by Rihanna, who made a virtual appearance on the screens that made up the stage. Also in this space, "Up in Flames" brought the show to more intimate aspect of Coldplay. In the big stage, "Do not Let It Break You Heart" brought about through the emergency exits of the Dragon Stadium some inflatable purple - yes, we had reached another dimension. "Viva La Vida" has proven to be one of the biggest hits ever the band - the Port should have heard the most "owoooh owoooh" ever. With the heart in 1000, followed by "Charlie Brown" and "Paradise." In the latter the 1001 colors returned to the stage. Thousands of sparkling bracelets donned the Portuguese have an effect on the wrists to the celestial dragon - and make you think that Pinto da Costa in a new form of support for sportsmen. The oldest of Coldplay fans knew there was still much to hear and kept the encore surprises. On the opposite side of the stage (the other side of the pitch of course), Chris Martin appeared on a small platform. "Up Agains The World" began with a solo vocalist on guitar, and he was joining the other members. Still missing something ... but not for long. "Clocks", "Fix You" and hit "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall" closed the concert with fireworks. Chris Martin held the flag of Portugal and did not finish the concert without kneeling and kissing on stage. The Coldplay concert in Portugal - and in the background all the new tour - proof that a band can also Pop Rock high level. A spectacle of the British was not without success, no songs that we hear every day on the radio without strong beats and guitar, but without a strong focus on aesthetic component - no lights, no inflatables, no multicolored confetti. Joined Coldplay on stage it all. It's the best of both worlds to which many aspire but few attain. Bravo! [thanks Ruben http://www.propagandistasocial.com/2012/05/19/soundcloud-coldplay-levam-o-melhor-dos-dois-mundos-ao-porto/] Yesterday was the much anticipated May 18! Coldplay was the Dragon simplesmento of this world! The back of the stadium and witnessed to the strength of the band and this concert, the most talked about and anticipated of the year in our country! Before it was time to Coldplay performances by Rita and Marina Now & Dimonds. Particularly liked the last! Go take a look on youtube :) At around 22:00 there was the long awaited moment and the way of Star Wars, Coldplay come on stage to the sound of "Mylo Xyloto" primiera with the explosion of fireworks and the píblico. The hits followed up and avalanches of applause too! The LCD bracelets that have shone before we get to the sound of music, causing an effect absolutely fantastic (especially when viewed from above). There was an evident difference between the rock and Coldplay Coldplay who surrendered to the sweet pop. The light show and sound was overwhelming and energy between the band and the audience was from another world indeed! In the middle of the concert, no one was waiting, Chris Martin (gorgeous that it alone), there is a small stage in the middle of the pitch, alone and acoustic guitar in hand. After they arrive one by one the remaining Coldplay: D Towards the end they were saved "Fix You" and "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall, where Chris the Portuguese flag parades and bid farewell to the stadium into ecstasy kissing the stage floor! The sense of rhythm runs through the veins of Coldplay and this should, very personally, the fact that so many people and all ages like them. Coldplay are a rock band, but more than that, are a pop band that exudes joy and hope from every pore and I filled our hearts. The day was just fantastic and completely changed my mood! I'll keep forever happy to see them there delivered to the public. They love the music and show it! They surrendered themselves completely and the public too, that took every moment to the fullest, in a climate of overall vibration! Despite Coldplay are markedly trade, but are commercial quality, despite having songs without great depth, although always with a message to deliver! Well, are capable of playing a stadium filled with songs simple and cheerful, it is this that makes the mass! [thanks Jardin Versailles http://jardin-versailles.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/coldplay-no-porto.html] Nor have words to describe the concert yesterday at the Estadio do Dragao. I think it's just phenomenal! I sat on the bench shortly after 16h and then stayed until the time of the concert, without catching rain. After 9h waiting, Chris Martin and the rest of the band come on stage full of energy and fireworks to the sounds of Mylo Xyloto. The songs keep coming one after another, always with immense energy and a very talkative Chris. Success after success until you finish the concert with Every teardrop is a waterfall, with the same energy they had when they started. Every song, surprises emerged: the bracelets that flashed to the music, the colorful inflatable, paper, balloons, the presence of the band in a mini-stage in the middle of the lawn ... and not the rain that was feel, prevented 50,000 people from vibrating a little over an hour and a half (I confess that between the cold and the cries, the voice resented a bit). Although we are still in May, I dare say that this is one of the best concerts that Portugal will have in 2012. [thanks pdepequenina.blogspot.com/ ]
  19. 3 weeks to go :D guess i ought to get a new ticker for my sig!!
  20. Undoubtedly the best concerts I've ever been = D Very very good indeed .. Even with the rain that threatened to stay all night .. thankfully stopped when he started the Coldplay concert xD (only giving off their skills from time to time) The firework lights .. people .. all with their bracelets to give birth .. the whole stadium singing BRUTAL .. = D http://temosdefalar.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/fotos-do-facebook-da-radio-comercial.html
  21. possible review coming later from this blog: I just returned from a wonderful concert, where I did not get drips of rain (as opposed to many hundreds of people) and he brought the coolest band ever. Tomorrow I'll tell more. http://entre-parentesis.blogs.sapo.pt/316102.html translated by google translate.
  22. if it's like previous tours, then there are at least 2 versions of the stage and 2 sets of roadies. whilst the prep for last night's show was happening, the other stage & set were being set up at the next venue
  23. If you've got reserved seats, I'd get there for about half 7 if you're not worried about seeing the support acts. We've got unreserved seats so will be there earlier to get decent seats
