  1. but that's still the same thing. the amount of money you can get from the papers for a harry potter scoop is phenomenal, but they've restricted them with legal action too. anyways its home time so i'm switching the puter off now
  2. depends on what the penalties are. there are never any spoilers available prior to Harry Potter book releases, and that's because the publisher has locked it tighter than the hatch!! there are so many penalties, and they've restricted access so much that you never find out what's in there. and that's a reasonably small uk publisher. with the power Disney have, they could outweigh any threats, if they chose to put that power into force
  3. interesting stuff going on!! found the above at http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com/
  4. so what we watching tonight then?
  5. i'm not saying anything about redheads :lipsrsealed2: :laugh3: :laugh3:

work in a call centre, so can't call or text people whilst working. don't have access to email at work. myspace, facebook, lj are all ways of keeping up with friends. as for meeting up with friends, its a way of planning meet ups. i don't use myspace to feel popular, as can be seen by the fact that i still have under 30 friends on there (come to that, I don't need to feel popular either, am quite happy with a select group of friends). i mainly use it to keep in touch with people i already know in real life but can't meet up with as frequently as i would like to.

its an easy way of keeping in touch with friends. and makes for a great way to have conversations when you're bored at work and can't ring/text your friends (that's so long as it hasn't appeared on the banned list!!)
  8. An MP has predicted "red faces" after a policeman's private car was stolen during the day from Arundel police station in West Sussex. It follows a fire at the town's fire station in 2006. "The ambulance service nearby must be wondering what is going to happen to them," Nick Herbert said. On Thursday, the Arundel and South Downs MP told the BBC he would be asking about security at the station. Police said a man had been arrested and bailed after the theft on 22 May. A Sussex Police spokesman said the officer parked his car when he came on duty on 22 May, but it had gone when he went to go home. "We are looking at whether there was a break-in," he said. He added that the car was recovered later, in the vicinity of Arundel. He was unable to say what hours the officer was working that day. "It partly gives cause for humour but it does raise some questions about the security of these places," Mr Herbert said. He said: "You couldn't make it up. "When the fire station burnt down we were told it wasn't necessary to have fire alarms in fire stations which I thought was bizarre. "Now we have had a police station broken into and a car stolen, and I think the ambulance station nearby must be wondering what is going to happen to them next." He said he would be asking about security at the police station on Thursday and said: "I imagine there are going to be some red faces." http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/sussex/6707269.stm
  9. Firefighters in Greater Manchester are facing disciplinary action over claims they slept on a station floor instead of their new reclining chairs. Three men, based in Bury, are being investigated for "involvement in the use of unauthorised rest facilities". It is claimed they broke regulations by using sleeping bags on the floor rather than the £400 chairs. The chairs were installed as part of modernisation programme to replace all beds in the region's 41 fire stations. The Fire Brigades Union (FBU) said the men were all asleep as a team of inspectors from the fire service carried out a spot check early one morning. "We have now christened them the furniture police," said Manchester regional secretary Kevin Brown. Mr Brown said the service launched an investigation into the incident and the men were due to appear before a level three disciplinary hearing on 14 June. "A level three hearing leaves open the possibility for dismissal - this is how ludicrous this is," said Mr Brown. "Obviously what we are looking for is for common sense to prevail. "These people work a 15-hour night shift and they are entitled to take rest periods." Safety concerns Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said the inquiry concerned "involvement in the use of unauthorised rest facilities". "A full internal investigation into this matter is under way and no further comment can be made at this time," a spokesman said. The service bought more than 300 of the chairs last year after chiefs decided to remove beds from dormitories across the region. But firefighters were not allowed to sit or lie on the devices before reading a four-page health and safety manual. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/manchester/6707509.stm
