June 30, 2009 - submitted by James, United Kingdom Q. Dear Oracle, In Roadie #42's latest blog (number 88), there's a rather nice photo of the band with Dave Holmes the manager man. It certainly makes a pretty picture but I was wondering what is written on the tag around his neck. I normally wouldn't be too interested but I thought it looked like "Viva la Vida With Love" meaning "Live Life... With Love". Now, though, I'm not so sure. no different to Gary Barlow being invited to War Child without Take That, or even Bono without U2 come to that. depends on how they're thinking of working it. if they're going to mix a few artists up to collaborate on songs, it may well work better with one rather than the whole band. I don't think Back for Good at War Child would have been half so good, if the rest of Take That were there. Gary & Coldplay was a great blend.

another thing from the Take That shows, which may be applicable for September, and possibly some use to Alison. Where can I park? There will be parking at Manchester United Football Club (MUFC) but no parking at Lancashire County Cricket Club (LCCC). Some independent car parks may be in operation in the area but only MUFC is the official car park. MUFC’s postcode is M16 0RA and official parking is close by.

LCCC does because the neighbours don't like having music concerts in a cricket ground. has to have a curfew to get the live music licence from the council. I can kinda see their point. They're currently going through 5 nights of Take That, plus they had a very long soundcheck on the first day too.

NEWS With the help of a bit of detective work, some friends who live/work in Stretford, and a few handy Take That concerts, I have a possible itinerary for the 12th :D LCCC has a 10:30pm curfew to be able to get the licence for concerts to beheld there, mainly because the residents get alot upset. The Take That plan for tomorrow night is: Sat Gary Go (18.05hrs) Lady Gaga (19.05hrs) Take That (20.20hrs) Soooooo if COldplay follow a similar pattern then it will be: White Lies (18.05hrs) Jay-Z (19.05hrs) Coldplay (20.20hrs) Other info that I'm not sure if it will be the same for Coldplay, but is likely to be similar Can I bring food and drink onto the concert site? No food or drink will be permitted into the stadium although 500ml of water in a plastic bottle will be allowed. Stewards will be happy to help refill any bottles for those waiting in queues before the gates open and concert goers can refill their own bottles from drinking water tanks insite the stadium - no charge for this. All refreshments are available inside.
