For me they are. I used to be a huge Michael Jackson fan. Loved his music for years. Until i was about 12. After that i started listening to other stuff and now i cant remember the lyrics to Billy Jean :rolleyes: Coldplay for me are a similer sort of thing.

Ok guys i am gonna say something really important to you all so you betterPAY ATTENTION Everyone has different taste in music. This is mostly due to the fact that everyone comes from different backgrounds, everyone comes from different countries and everyone has different cultures. As well as this everyone is a different age. Right now you probably think i am stating the obvious. However people have a habit of over looking the obvious. So i am reminding everyone of this fact. So far what i have seen from you people is everyone bitching about what other people like. Socrates dont like Coldplay and everyone else here does. He thinks they are bland and boring and only have 2 different types of song. And everyone else thinks he is talking crap. I see a lot of bitching about singers like Britney Spears and boy bands like blue. This is pointless. The singer and the band i have just mentioned are mostly liked by teenagers and children. It is a fact and therefore the majority of older people can see through this act, but they are for kids. Coldplay itself is an every person band. They have done some good songs but they are forgettable in the long run. They are not an experimental band and they might never be. They are good at what they do and they have a large fanbase. This is all true too. And please dont flame me for saying it because i like them for what they are. Radiohead is another band that has been mentioned quite regularly.They are an experimental band that is allways trying different things. They are good for what they are as well. But you people seem to lose sight that everyone is different and that everyone likes different things. So you just go and insult each other and jeer at each other. You got to learn to accept what other people are into. It dont matter if you dont like what the other person likes. To bully and cajool and try and change the oppinion of someone who likes something you do not like is pointless and to be honest childish. So at the end of the day if you do need to get an oppinion across then at least try to not sound like a childish twat in doing so.

I make fun of you all for likeing them. :P I like them too of course :o But i have the sense to hate them as well :lol: Just like all good music. You got to hate it for something. And love it for something In coldplays case i love the catchy sing along songs that they do about life the universe and everything. And i hate them because the majority of their songs sound the same and they never seem to change and they hardly experiment.

Howdy all. Not much to tell. I like Coldplay but i have no albums yet. The reason i joined is because i am planning on getting some coldplay albums soon I dont really have any favorite bands. My cd collection consists of Norah Jones. Doubt anyone here has heard of her but i am a huge fan of hers Muse. I see you have a huge muse following David bowie. I just think the guys cool cause he is so wierd Pink floyd. They are one of the most inspirational bands i have ever heard Radiohead. Dont flame me. I heard the rumours. I have no time for that. The music is all that is important to me Damien Rice. This guys brilliant. He gets so worked up its kinda scary Rasmus. It was too catchy and i let myself be fooled Evanescence. I sometimes think that the rasmus is this bands fault. But some of this is not stuff i like. Money is allways a problem
