What about things like the alternative/edited X&Y that Chris claims to have kept on his laptop?

If I understand right, you're willing to share more background knowledge here from your collection? I'm sure there are millions of questions we could ask lol.

The NEW 2024 Leaks Thread
What really baffles me is how some songs made it on the Everyday Life album. Some of the demos are so damn good that I just don't understand how WOTW/POTP, literally an unfinished song made it, same with skips like BrokeN, Bani Adam... compared to Broken demo, Wedding Bells, Famous Old Painters, Until The Water Flows Over, Weirdo... How did they think these were inferior lol. I even prefer the demo of EL itself, it's so good. I really hope some of these will get released under different names in the future.

It's definitely real, this is the Moses mix version. The previous demo doesn't sound as polished. Also, there are new lyrics towards the end - "Of all the roads, that I could run, to me, you are the only one".

Yeah unfortunately it's impossible to share these kinds of things in hopes that people will keep it in a small circle. There will always be rats trying to take advantage and earn some money. But reading your stories on how people try and find ways to scam and pretend being sick is just insane. As a fan, I get that the leaks are a grey area and are hurting the band, but at the same time as a diehard fan, whenever something becomes public, there's nothing I can do about it so might as well download it without sharing it further. I like collecting all the rare and unreleased stuff for personal use. As others said, this latest package brought me so much joy - the songs themselves are incredible, but being able to get a peek 'behind the scenes" of different eras, the evolution of the tracks, their attempts a.k.a demos... It's always a ride.

I'd be fine as long as he'd change his mind about not dropping the full coldplay package once they stop making music. That would be a real shame. I know the band said they would do something similar on their own, but I doubt it's terabytes of material. Anyway... anyone got a spare 20k ? 😅

One last question from me so I can die in peace - was A View From The Top ever a real song or just that one time sound check thing? And thanks for all that info, it brings so much closure you wouldn't believe haha

The NEW 2024 Leaks Thread
Oh damn, I expected a few dozen songs not terrabytes of content. Gotta admit I'm jealous lol. Well, I'm grateful for at least that small portion I could listen to. Since you paid for it, makes sense to do whatever you want with it. I've noticed people whining and begging, but had no idea about the lengths they'd go to hear a leaked song.

Just out of curiosity - do you have any songs that are not in the list and haven't leaked? Just names of course.

The NEW 2024 Leaks Thread
My favorite leak by far. Such a great song, it's also interesting to hear the riff from "Fun" being used long before AHFOD. I would die to hear a studio recording of "A View From Top" one day. Already heard Spanish Rain which I thought would never happen so fingers crossed.

Here are some that I don't see in the list, but not sure if they're from the latest leak: - Vampire Symphony - Out Of This World (sounds like an updated version of Miracles) - Spies (Early blue room version) Also, I can't seem to find Everyday's Like Christmas anywhere? What's the latest version of The Race? I have the 2023 'whatever it takes' one, and the leaked GS version, but was there a new one as well? In the moon music overtura file, there seems to be a snippet of the final version.

🪐 Coldplay: Music of the Spheres 🪐 | Out Now! | Discussion
I truly believe the last album will be entirely made (or at least feature) some of their unfinished or unreleased songs. Chris himself mentioned that they would release their past work sometime in the future and not as anything big but just something for the fans. As much as I would love to hear all of it, I hope it's still years away because I don't want them to stop making new music ?

Got two tickets for the July 16th show! G5 sector, almost exactly where I wanted to be to see everything and still be close to the stage. I can't believe there weren't any problems. I'm soooo excited July can't come sooner man...

These are a couple of highlights from Phil's alien radio broadcast: The Race is coming soon (but then he said later so idk lol) Let Somebody Go will receive a music video When he was asked about POTP as a single - he answered with a question - which one would you choose - POTP or Humankind? Volume 2? "I mean... we've only released vol. 1 a few days ago" - well he didn't say no haha MOTS and Mylo Xyloto are connected, more to come soon Infinity Sign was based on Life is Beautiful, but the chants are from the Buenos Aires show. Champion Of The World is unlikely to appear on the MOTS setlist, Phil said that it could be played on the C-stage or when the band decides to change things up. Chris wants Humankind to be the opener Coloratura might receive a music video if I understood that right? Aurora is not a part of the spheres right now because of it having some trouble but it will rejoin We will find out what "FFTF 2024" means in the future There's a chance I forgot to include something, but these are all from the top of my head. Maybe someone recorded the whole broadcast.

The Race (unreleased song)
Phil just confirmed that "The Race is coming very soon" during the stationhead broadcast. He also mentioned that "Aurora is currently having some problems joining the spheres" - could it be?!

The Race (unreleased song)
Oh wow I didn't even know there was a new version out there until now. The ending when Johnny's guitar joins is great, but frankly I would just drop the "kaleidoscope" repetition and change the verses entirely. The overall production feels empty and I hope that's just because of the demo version. I still prefer the AHFOD documentary version - the instruments are so vibrant and the "whatever takes" part is awesome. The song has so much potential. Hopefully we get to hear the final version in MOTS vol. 2.

Yeah it's honestly not as bad as people describe it. There are a lot of exaggerated negative opinions and criticism that are pure hatred and nothing valid. I'm not that surprised to see some of it on the subreddit, but what I didn't expected was to find it here as well. Oh and please do yourselves a favour and don't read anything about coldplay or the album outside its communities, especially reddit. People are incredibly toxic and disrespectful. On a different topic, I went through Coldplay's discography again and there are a lot of songs that fit so well to the space theme - Aliens, Moving to Mars, Atlas, and almost the entirety of X&Y. The lyrics and the atmosphere fit amazingly well. I'll definitely try and make a space album from their whole discography later. Any suggestions?

I'm planning to buy tickets for this one. It would be my first time seeing them live and I'm nervous about the whole process. Can anyone give me some tips, preferably those that went to the Paris show before? I'd like to know if it's difficult to get tickets (i.e. if they sell really fast) and which seats you think are the best. Any other tips are welcome. I really don't want to mess this up.

Well, someone tried to mix Life Is Beautiful with Infinity Sign. While I appreciate the effort, I couldn't help but laugh out loud at 2:17 and 2:38. It's about as off as me when I sing inside a car and nobody can hear me lol.

This was bound to happen, but frankly this mashup is awful. It's just 2 songs played at the same time. The timing gets completely messed up later on.

The thing is there was a near-universal backlash on Everyday Life as well, I clearly remember the wave of hate when it leaked a week before the release or so. Reading between the lines on social media, it seems that fans think it's actually great? To me it feels like this has been happening with every album since about Viva. The classic whining of people who want the band to return to something they've been doing 20 years ago, and then those who find at least a couple of songs on the record to listen to, because there's always a big variety. I'm not saying this is their best work, but MOTS has its highlights. It really reminds me of Ghost Stories in the sense that it also felt like a short album and I could only pick a few songs to listen to on repeat. (Though GS had a better flow and a clear common theme) You just can't please everyone, and the band is fully aware of that so they're doing whatever they want to do. That's what I love about them. If they hadn't, we would probably have them stuck in the old days trying to replicate the four albums and they certainly wouldn't be where they are now, selling out stadiums and shit. Sometimes I think that the fans don't even know what they want, and it's just annoying and makes the community look toxic. And it hurts like so. (Sorry I had to)

Couple of thoughts after a day of listening to the album: The songs I have on repeat are Humankind, POTP, Biutyful and Infinity Sign. Just out of curiosity, I gave Life Is Beautiful another listen, and it sounds exactly like Humankind. I also can't help but notice the elements of the song in Infinity Sign, it actually sounds like the instrumental is building up to LIB / Humankind, try to follow them in a playlist and it's like the perfect match. Why is it not a hidden track to it at least? Arghhh it bugs me so much...

My final impressions after a few listens: ? - A very solid intro to the whole album and HP Higher Power - 8/10 - I know it's an unpopular opinion but I like the song, especially the 2nd half where it takes off, it's classic Coldplay to me Humankind - 9/10 - An absolute banger, the last chorus when everything but the guitar stops and then explodes is brilliant - this will be amazing live ✨ - Very atmospheric, like a short stroll through space Let Somebody Go - 6/10 - strong beginning with nice lyrics, but the song gets boring and repetitive in a bad way. Explosive ending, but I would welcome the last chorus to have more / different lyrics to stand out from the rest of the song. ❤️ -6/10 - The studio version sounds fantastic, but it's not something I would listen to on repeat People of the Pride - 8/10 - great production, not a huge fan of the muffled beginning though (live was better), the riff could get repetitive too but it just rocks and it's unusual for Coldplay. The second part when the beat comes in "it's just work, it's not easy..." all the way to the finish is amazing. Can't wait to see this one live. Biutyful - 6/10 - I hate the chipmunk voice solo in the first half, it's way better when it harmonizes with Chris later. I think the song would be much better if it was only him singing though. The beat and the melody are so good, it's a shame. ? - For an interlude or a transition this is awful, it's just so out of place and cuts abruptly My Universe - 2/5 - My least favorite song not just from this album but one of the weakest from Coldplay overall imo. The outro sounds out of place too. The acoustic version is pretty good. ♾ - 6/10 - I was so disappointed when I realized it's not the studio version of Life Is Beautiful, but an instrumental version... On its own it's a really good instrumental (but once again out of place), takes a little bit to pick up pace but the second half is magical. It does not go anywhere though, it screams to be followed by something massive, not another slow paced beginning in Coloratura. I strongly believe if the instrumental was followed by actual Life is Beautiful with lyrics, it would be a huge highlight of the album. Coloratura - 10/10 - the ultimate Coldplay track, one of their best songs period. I would give the whole album a 7/10 - Coloratura is legendary, Higher Power, Humankind, and POTP are my other favorites because of their energy and from the rest I expected a little more so they're just... okay. The band sounds absolutely incredible throughout the whole thing. The production is outstanding, everything is so crisp and balanced. Huge respect for Max Martin. I hope volume 2 comes soon (perhaps before the tour begins?)
