According to my teacher's I should do better than I do. It's effort, to be honest. But I have improved my effort in the past 6 months. I don't know, personally I feel I can only really do well in subjects I enjoy. Fortunately with A-Levels I can pick which subjects to do. My teacher's all say I'm bright though, so I'ma go with that :P

This probably isn't relevant to your guys situation Rundle... but on the subject on "lets just be friends". Now, last year this girl who was one of my best friends said that to me. It was like... I'ma try and explain this. We had been real close friends for about a year and our friendship was... well... very flirty like that. Anyways we eventually decided to give it a go and she said she'd "rather be friends". I was kind of in the same boat aswell. I'd rather have been friends, and we both thought we'd be friends like we were before hand. We weren't. I went away for the summer working in London and away on holiday to Spain and when I came back we just... didn't have any contact. We were part of a big group of friends that split going into 6th form. She was in one, I was in the other. I've spoken to her like, twice since September. Just to say, in my experiences if a girl has told me "don't you think we'd be better as friends?" I'm like.... I say yes, but for me it's never worked out like what we'd hoped. I don't know how old your friend is Rundle, fortunately at 17 I have many many years to make new friends, so taking a chance like that wasn't something I regret.

Even if Mavs do go through, I don't expect them to win the playoffs. SA or Detroit.

Everyone says that they don't judge people on their looks. I'd be lieing if I said that. I mean... I don't say "wow. you're not pretty i dont like you" but I judge people on how they carry themselves. Like, if someone who's not too beautiful looks like they make an effort to present themselves and take care of themselves, then that's not ugly. Ugly in my opinion is when someone doesn't take care of themselves and how they look. I mean. I've met people who have been walking around in tshirts with food stains all over them and jeans with grass all over them and shoes with holes in and I think "Wow... At least present yourself." You may all deny it but I think if you organised to meet me irl. And I turned up dressed all like that I reckon about 90% of you would judge me on it. Not consciously, but without noticing. This is the same as me. Sorry if this has offended anyone who wears dirty clothes :P I am aware some people look scruffy deliberately as a kind of fashion. I know myself that there is a difference between that and what I'm describing. Also, if you don't agree with what I said. Don't call me shallow please.

This thread sounds like it's pretty mature. You don't seem immature to me. :confused: I have a habit of being mature with some people, but overly immature (well... childish is a better word IMO) when I'm with some other people. It's deliberate that way. I'm mature but with some people I have a good laugh (playfully childish)
