Uh, climate change is all about surface stuff... volcanoes are affected by forces deep within the earth that humans have no control over. Some might say we were overdue for a few major eruptions. Now how airlines respond next time, that's a different issue.

Um... in the really obvious category, has anyone mentioned Doves yet? Travis Doves and Elbow are the first three I always think of when people ask that question. If you like In-flight Safety, there's a chance you might like Pilot Speed. I haven't heard any of their later stuff, but their first album was very Coldplay-ish.

All in all, I think everyone should be commended for how much more adventurous the world of music section's tastes have gotten over the last 5 years. We've gone from nothing much beyond Coldplay clones, to a fairly wide range of less-than-mainstream choices. :thumbsup: I know this poll has had a drastic impact on what I listen to, hope it's helped out a few others as well.
