Hey guys... I'm listening to the performance of 'Til Kingdom Come from Kopenhagen right now, and I was wondering... have any of you heard it? I mean... it's a must for any Will fan! Chris simply heaps the praises upon him! :D It can be found in the Mulitmedia section if anyone's wondering. I suggest you download the whole concert while you're at it. It's an excellent performance, has an excellent setlist and is excellent quality.

Oh wow! That sounds very cool Texasluvsjonny. I'm glad you got to meet them. :) And that's too bad about Guy. Maybe they had to go and he was late? But yes. I'm still kicking myself for not taking the day AFTER the Coldplay concert from school instead of the day of, because the day after Chris did an interview with 99X and stayed to talk to the whole of 15 people who waited outside the sudios for him. :angry: :angry:

I think Guy was an actor in a past life. Like in the UK version of the Trouble video and he's being tied down to the chair? He did excellent with that. ...Which, you know, just makes him even hotter.

Dejan, I've been a fan of Coldplay since 2002, so don't effing tell me that I'm a "newbie to Coldplay". Chris gave a shout out to System of a Down during their EMA performance of Talk and I had never head of any negative statements towards the band, so I assumed that Chris had no qualms with SOAD. I'm sorry I'm so damn ignorant, oh wise one who's obviously been a fan since Saftey.

It makes me giggle like a little school girl. ...Is it weird that I'm happy when they're happy? ...Yes?

Well, beleive it or not, I first heard Clocks on the radio about 4 years ago and didn't like it. Actually, I hated Chris' voice. I know, I know. I should be violently lynched, but it's the truth! But, my brother came into my room one night with his brand, spanikin' new iPod and goes, "Hey Allie, you need to listen to this song. I know you don't like Coldplay, but this song is beautiful." Um so... in a span of 5 minuets my life was changed. And there you have it. (And, I think Chris' voice couldn't be anymore beautiful, just for clarification)

I've heard Coldplay on the radio, but I've heard Audioslave and Velvet Revolver a whole lot more. And Coldplay came along in a time where manufactured angst (Papa Roach and Linkin Park) and hip-hop ruled the radio. That's one reason why they became so big. Not because it was the "thing" to be sincere. Because they were singing about something different and had organic instruments in their songs instead of synthesizer beats and drums. And even though Coldplay is surrounded by staff they still keep the band just the four of them and never, never let anyone else into the writing process. And I agree with an_cat. I don't listen to Coldplay because they're popular, or to be cool, because God knows I get critisized enough for being a Coldplay fan to make anyone want to never listen to their music again. A fact that I personally find as a gross reality in the world. I love Coldplay so much because their music speaks to me. I don't listen music because they're "fighting a system" or they don't get any air time on the radio. I don't care. I mean, take my other favorite band, Sigur Ros. Hardly anyone's ever heard of them and they never get any air time. People are so judgemental. If I like Coldplay it doesn't automatically put me into being a fan of Green Day and 50 Cent or something. Cheers.
