i am not sure what the song is (because yousendit won't let me download) but this sounds like a song by Guster. Their first album (or at least I believe it was their first album) was called Parachute. It was released in 98, so before Coldplay's Parachutes in case anyone got tempted to say Guster were copying Coldplay ;) Again, I am not 100% sure whether you meant that song but I got their version once too when I tried to find Parachutes by Coldplay.
  2. right, i must have forgotten to count the 15.000 punks. My bad. I know Soest too, just the name though. But uuuh...120km is not 'near' Köln, haha. Just because its in the same Bundesland doesn't mean it's near  I guess we'll never know for sure how many people were there. What makes me wonder...was the show really sold out? I know there were tickets still left on the day of the gig.
  3. oh, that's a pretty cool interview. where is it from? I finally get what the tape is all about  Anyway....30.000 people in Köln? That's quite different compared to 15.000. I wonder which was is accurate. I should have counted myself, dammit!
  4. very true. i totally agree
  5. are you going to see them in Italy?
  6. yup, loved it. Just too short unfortunately. That's the biggest part of the discussion we're having in this thread haha
  7. me too :) Also, in most live performances that came out lately they play Square One first
  8. if you had checked the set lists in this thread, you would have noticed that Square One has been opening song in most shows :P but youre right...Politik comes after that
  9. what is up with "haters" calling people gay? seriously...whenever they try to bash someone, that someone is being called a "fag" or such. Seen this quite a few times. It's so childish!
  10. yeah...tell me about not being able to afford it! I still owe my friend the money for the ticket. I think it's terribly expensive...over 100DM if you think back to the good old times. 2 years ago I paid 30 Euros and the show was about as long as it was in Köln. This should be renamed into the official "The ticket prices are way too high for such a short set" thread.
  11. I guess it doesn't get any longer than 90 minutes then, huh. oh man. chris did the same thing with "Bahnhof" in Köln
  12. Square One and Speed Of Sound...gotta listen a bit more to the record to find my third favorite :P
  13. at least not like Wolfgang Petry. I think I would have thrown things at them if they did
  14. Self- Trunk Fulla Amps
  15. ew, no...that's disgusting. Nah...they looked more like...more hardcore punk fans. I was really wondering why they would pay over 50 bucks to see a band they are not even into. Then again, maybe they won the tickets somewhere. Ugh, I don't like it when people go to concerts of bands they don't even like and then stand in the front rows. blocking the view for the fans (literally...mohawk hair at a concert with people standing behind you is just freakin rude, lol)
  16. wow, that's awesome. The album is certainly great. Dunno whether I would consider it the best in the past 20 years...but to each their own, right?
  17. hahaha, right. I am sure they counted the fans and then the rest :P
  18. there were people like that around us in Köln too. Way up front...and they didn't even seem to like Coldplay. Got me kinda mad because I think they should have let the people who are actual fans and had been waiting for the concert up front...instead of standing there and making retarded comments. anyway...there were 15.000 in Hamburg too? Weird...Kettcar said there were around 5000 less in Hamburg...and on Einslive it says there were 15.000 at the Köln Gig.
  19. could be. wouldn't surprise me either. though I really do hope that its not like that too
  20. well that's pretty damn sad then. I don't get it. What's up with them then... I think everyone had figured with the new album they would play longer...maybe they just wanted to prove us wrong
  21. Dan Brown "Angels&Demons"
  22. I agree with the crowd response theory...and yup, I still think 90 mins is a rip-off...75 an even worse one. Springsteen supposedly plays around 4 hours sometimes. But imagine these bands only playing a 90 min set...people would commit murder. I think 2 years ago the Coldplay gig was just as long (short)...and it's upsetting cuz they have another album out and stuff. Still praying to go to the München show though, lol
  23. can't believe the Beatles arent on the list. oh well...Led Zeppelin it is for me.
  24. nope. Was too high but that's rather off-topic :P @Kokser2000: Thank you for mentioning Einslive! I haven't even checked their site for info. Googled yesterday to see if anyone reviewed the concert...no luck tho. At least now I have some pics. However, Will did play on the Piano and it was more than one song. I know for sure one of them was "'Til Kingdom Come"
  25. great idea with the cell phone! with my luck I would have started to dance around and dropped my cell phone...but big YAY for the setlist. Maybe the blurred memories in my head will start put themselves into an order at last.
