  1. You still have the ability to make me laugh out loud, and I never laugh (out loud) at things I read on here.
  2. All I can think of so far are these threads which I started myself which are memorable because that was a very good day on the board for me for some reason. I talked so differently back then, insults such as penis-face and it seems like I cared about spelling mistakes etc. oh well. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29853 http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29856 This one is particularly memorable (and I really don't know why I didn't state the most obvious point in my favour, the name of the damn thread.): http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29862
  3. Well I no longer am making threads such as: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21528
  4. Sam replied to Reilly's topic in The Lounge
Once I was so drunk that I wasn't really drunk. I wanna have drunken fun too. :embarassed:
  5. I would be very interested because I'd like to undertsand what people see in those type of bands. (Not being a jerk or anything, being serious.)
  6. Nice to see people are still interested. I say from now on, we just let this thing be free range. Review an album when you feel like but just put the Coldplaying Review in the thread title. And I'll see if I can get that archive sticky. (I'm guessing Ian just wants to see if this thing has any success before creating the sticky.
  7. This thing has really failed miserably. I sent a PM to Ian about the sticky but he neevr replied. :\
  8. HAHA!! "I keep the wolf at the door but he calls me up..."
  9. Eskimo Joe - A Song is a City Released May 16th, 2004 7.5
  10. Just tell me when you have one done. :wink2:
  11. Haha, I'm a happy toast.
  12. I'm not sure what to do about links. hmm... IT would be way to hard to try and rovide links for every review. I say we don't need the extra ratings and comments from other people. Sites like pitchfork and all them have multiple reviewers and sometimes controversial ratings. This can just be a cool little thing. No big deal or anything. Like there may be heaps of people listening to Jarvis Cocker's solo album in the futture and look back at a very early opinion of the album.
  13. How often do you think then? Maybe Tuesdays and Thursdays?
  14. Nice review, will have to check out this album soon.
  15. I fixed up the timetable. Thanks Jules. Who wants Wednesday?
  16. Yeah, we need a good name, if not we could just stick with 'The Coldplaying Review'. I am gonna write my first review when I get home from school this afternoon, I'll do Tuesday if you're already done Nik. You can have the Monday slot, you should set a nice standard to follow :wink2: I don't think we should be too strict with time, just post anytime on Monday. (I don't think it is even Monday over there yet.) Check the first post for the timetable. We need someone for Wednesday. So, no rules this week, just review anything.
  17. Can you do a review by Tuesday?
  18. I have the updated timetable in the first post. And yes, I am plannign on doing a review by tomorrow, to get the ball rolling. I think for the first week, we'll just have anything goes, review whatever you want, and see what happens. I'm just afraid that the idea of others giving small comments etc. for each album will fail because noone will actually listen to it. But, we can figure something else out, if that doesn't work.
  19. OK, this is how I'm gonna do it. I will draw up a timetable but it won't be a repeating thing. People will have to sign there names for any slot that they want. So, just because they do it one Monday, doesn't mean they do it any other Monday, unless they sign up for another Monday. Get me?
  20. Nik has already raised the bar pretty high with his speak of new album + classic album, and I think that I can't do this. A definition of classic album would be an oldish album that is widely considered as great. I am good with this stuff, but I wouldn't want to do a review on a 'classic' album every week. And I'm terrible with new stuff. I think I have about 3 albums from 2006. And then, what happens to all the other stuff? the underrated hidden gems etc? Here's some ideas.... we have people (such as Nik) whose job it is to review new albums. (Although you can still do others.) or We could have themed weeks. '90's albums', 'Pop week' wtc. or we could just do whatever we feel like. (Although this would lead to a bunch of reviewd of albums people like.) Suggestions? Surely I'm not the only one that rarely listens to new music.
  21. Well, we could attempt to get Ian to edit the final posts etc. into the thread. It would just be annoying if it wasn't locked because it would get filled with spam.
  22. That post pretty much summed it up. A proble: Where are we gonna put the reviews? It would start to get messy if we have a new thread for each review. Should we do one thread per week? or maybe request a sub-forum? All I know is that I really want a locked - Sticky - archive thread, where all the reviews and final scores are added in different posts, With a table of contents at the start, so if you are looking for a particualr album, you can find it there with links to the individual posts.
  23. Well, I'm starting to doubt the 'timetable' idea already. I think it should probably be a bit more informal. So, yes, you'd be able to do that.
  24. I doubt we could get 2 reviews per day, but we could try.
