I kind of fell into the Libs and DPT all at once, so it was a really strong emotion of liking them right away. Don't know why, I don't ever remember even making distinctions. It was just, oh, this band and oh, that one. Plus I was totally in love with Didz first and Peter at the same time. So it was a good balance. Thank you hormones!!! :laugh4: Babyshambles came later, since I still had to ween myself into it, but seriously....... I just don't get it, I don't get people. Have you guys read Bound Together? It definately doesn't paint Peter as the soul responsible party, although his actions were the final straw that broke the camel's back. It was simply a crescendo of things. The band, in a way, I think was doomed from the start. Maybe just too perfect of a partnership to stick together... Dunno. People are just fucking stupid. Kids these days, honestly! :laugh4:

Yanno, I was just on the DPT board staring at some frink, when I mosied on into the NME page. I just.... I don't get people. I don't get how people can be fans of DPT and not the Libs? I mean, ok........ I'm not trying to be arrogant and say that the only fans are the ones who have been there since the begining, or who love all the bands... but seriously.... How can someone who loves DPT not know who Peter Doherty is??? That kind of disgusts me.... It's like being rabid for modern American history and not knowing bullshit about the revolution ;) I mean, stupid analogy, but seriously.... I really don't buy the fact that people can't like the Libs but like DPT. Honestly, they're so similiar the DPT songs could be on 'Libs' or 'Bracket'. Maybe in a different way, but the style isn't all that changed. I think that has more to do with politics and anti-Peter attitude than anything else, which is annoying as it is. I dunno, it just irks me.
