I love this thread. I've never seen more elitism and entitledment in one place. Honestly. I voted for U2, should that come as ANY surprise to anyone? No, didn't think so. It did take me awhile to decide on, though... I mean, I take a week out of my life in April each year to drive to New Jersey for a Beatles Fan Convention. 3 entire days devoted to the Beatles. I am a MASSIVE fan. And I consider myself to have EXCELLENT taste in music, if I do say so myself. But I voted for U2. And frankly, if you think that this makes me a bad music fan, then you can go fuck yourself sideways. I'm sick of people thinking that the Beatles are and always WILL be the best. I totally respect that, of course, I feel that their level of popularity and achievement will be hard to top. But at the same time, I'm tired of all these people who just jump on a bandwagon and immediately name the Beatles as the best band ever. I happen to think that other artists have made better music, put on better performances and move people's souls in more of a way than the Beatles ever did. But that's me! I've invested my heart and soul into U2. Those four men literally owned my life in 2005. It'd be crazy for me not to think they're the best. So if you're going to be an a-hole about it and pull the bullshit "I'm gonna leave!" card, then go right ahead. No one's listening anyways. I agree, you guys should go check out Interference. Go into the 'Everything You Know Is Wrong' part of the forum. Some U2 fans are fucking scary.... and reaaaaaaaaally opinionated. But then again, you get that EVERYWHERE. I've seen really opinionated, assholey fans of the freakin' Arctic Monkeys, for crying out loud! Same goes for Coldplay, or Oasis, or The Libertines even. You get it everywhere, definately not just Radiohead fans. I think the Radiohead fan comparison comes from the fact that most people on Coldplaying happen to be really big Radiohead fans as well, that's the demographic. Not TOO many obsessed U2 fans (:uhoh:). So maybe... well, I don't know.

Haha, I've actually had for over a year the U2 special edition iPod (it had their signatures inscribed on the back!). But it broke 2 days ago!!!:( So I went and got my video ipod. lmfao, I really should have paused it on Bono, I'm planning on putting so many U2 videos on there...........:stunned: There goes all chances for a social life!!
