  1. You could try reading the information that he's posted before passing judgement as it being "silly". Don't make biased opinions until you have all the information ;)
  2. ........... I literally died when I saw this picture. Oh my goooooddddd Anthony.... I just... yanno.... I need.... I... I need to... just.... go... ...away..........can't... breathe....bye.
  3. Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuleeeeeeessssssssssssssss I'm going to go have a lie down now... :dead:
  4. LMFAO! Nice!! That last one's pretty hardcore... haha :laugh4:
  5. Yeah, I define "pop" music as a sound that comes from any other place other than the musicians performing it live. Like someone writing lyrics who aren't in the band, or writing melodies and "beats". That sound, I hope, is on it's way out. Don't know though...
  6. ^Awww, that's such a pretty picture! :nice: I found four really old pictures of me uploaded on my GJ, that I totally forgot about. ahaha These are probably a year and a half or more old now. (SCARY EMO LMFAO LMFAO) haha, Achtung Baby tastes gooood. And a new picture of me attempting to emulate Keith Murray.... :uhoh: Keith + Me = OTP 224 :laugh4:
  7. Pop as in "pop"ular. But the music that they make is far removed from the type of music that pop groups make. So I don't know what we're really talking about here.
  8. :uhoh: I like Pop! ahaha
  9. I'm watching it right now, and so is my friend. Very interesting stuff, and most of which I knew already. But the reactions of the crowd definately add to it.
  10. Here we are, US top forty chart: http://top40-charts.com/chart.php?cid=27 UK top whatever chart: http://www.bbc.co.uk/totp/top40/ You know, I do like the UK chart more, although that's just because of the Kooks and Razorlight :laugh4: Hm...
  11. Lily Allen. Case rested. :laugh4: People on MTV booed Adam Green... :( People are so mean, the only music fans are on the internet or in GA lines. Boo!
  12. mmm, I'm definately going through another Carl phase. He's so beautiful... gaaah I really can't wait for the shows in August! :dead: haha, cute.
  13. I don't think something like that warrants a smiley face.
  14. Well are we talking bubblegum pop, or just popular music?
  15. If someone's changing their IP to vote.... I would just die laughing. Oh my god. Still, it's quite weird.
  16. :stunned: I'm surprised people..... feel so strongly about this. Like, think people are logging out and voting as Guests? I really hope not...
  17. I think Q magazine had a write up about this in their July or June issue (whichever one had that crazy awesome Oasis interview in it?). Guitars are killing pop or some such. I agree with that, and I'm happy with it. *EDITED Because I thought there was only one page to this and just read the other three lmfao*
  18. Isn't it all just a matter of taste? I think that there are equally talented groups of musicians and artists coming out EVERYWHERE around the world. Are we talking about record sales here? Because we all know that talent cannot be deemed by popularity. Most American "indie" bands gain popularity overseas and are not well known here in the States. I cannot speak for Canada or South America, I don't know how the dynamics work there (are Arcade Fire popular in Montreal? I'm sure they are, but see, I just don't know). However, for example, The Strokes never gained the amount of popularity here in America that they have in Europe. I'd be hard pressed to find anyone who really knows who they are. Same goes for a lot of bands from the States. And there is such a quality stuff coming out of Europe at the moment, and I think that it's easier for these bands to take their popularity at home and try to translate it over here. It's never to the same degree though (Arctic Monkeys are an example, although they're getting extremely popular here on the East Coast). lmfao, what was the original question? I don't think it's any secret that people in the USA have shit taste in music. Look at the fucking charts. It's sad. That doesn't mean that there isn't GREAT things going on in the music scene. You just need to know where to look.
  19. mmm, you mean with the left over HTDAAB songs? I thought something similiar... Well, if they do use those songs then I'm sure they'll be in a similiar "style" as that on the album, and those that didn't like HTDAAB... ahaha... yeah. I hope they don't release Mercy, or put it on an album. I've already heard it... I need new stuff!!
  20. Yeah, exactly! omg omg.... I'm so excited for everything right now... ahaha
  21. I agree!!! I've thought about it a lot over the past few days and I swear... we really may have a new album in 2007. *crosses fingers!!* I've missed the guys sooo much, I can't wait for them to come around again! And this time I have a job so I can pay for more shows! :uhoh:
  22. I wonder how like.... this happened? Even I want to see the Beatles win, and I voted U2!! :laugh4: Well, it's not that big of a deal to me but it's definately kind of nutty. Ah well, the public has spoken? (?)
  23. I wonder if they'll test any of the new material when they go back on tour in November? Hmm...
  24. Oh my god. Essays on Coldplay's brilliance on a Radiohead forum. Holy fuck, I'd pay to witness that live. :laugh4: :laugh4:
  25. :stunned: I just checked Interference, there are no threads saying "Vote in a Coldplaying poll..." or anything remotely similiar to that. What the eff?
