hm... well I think to an extent it's commercial. It wasn't at the time, because I was a fan then and no one knew who I was talking about. So NOW I think it's become commercial, as anything will, at the time it really did seem ground breaking though, and remians that way to me. I guess I deem commercial as something that I'd be more likely to hear on the radio here in the States as opposed to not being like... the Libertines, who I've never EVER heard on the radio. Ever. Never heard DPT or Shambles either. And FORGET Yeti! :laugh4: I guess that's the big difference between the bands.... jah. Yeahhhh many are. Like oooh I'm just gonna believe all the shit that Mark makes threads about cuz he and the Sun's just GOTTA know what they're talkin' about! Oh yeah. I went there. :sneaky: :laugh4:

Hmmm, how so? No offense is taken, believe me ;) A lot of Americans are really shit music fans, it's rare to find someone to talk to about the bands that I love, like hte Libs or the Strokes or Arctics etc etc.... It's much easier to find someone who knows Coldplay, but even then when I want to get into a discussion about the music they just flounder. It's so annoying and stupid. But I'm always surprised when I do go to gigs and the lot I meet a lot of people just like me, which is really cool. There are hte diamonds in the ruff! :laugh4:

haha, yeahhh I think we can actually thank this thread's growth to DPT's US tour, when I kind of tried getting the thread off the ground :laugh4: :laugh4: I just went back and read some of the first real posts, it's so funny seeing it... Not really knowing who Yeti or Annalisa or anything really is.... It's been a journey, hasn't it? And it's only been like... what, 7 months? Not even? :laugh4: I take it there aren't that many fans around here.... Coldplay fans are pussies when it comes to the Libs and the lot, yeah? :laugh4: :laugh4: I guess they're just different because the Libs and the lot are all very rough and raw, they sing of very different things, what with allusions to drugs and all that. Whereas Coldplay is a bit more... streamlined and commercial? No offense is obviously meant to either, because it's a good thing on both behalfs ;) But I've always never made the big connection between the Libs and Coldplay's music. Sure, they both have the great power of making THAT hook, or THAT melody... but yeah. Kind of different all around, at least for me! ;) haha

I quite enjoyed it. I remember what happened before I went to the table, actually, so I knew that Carlos was there and I was following him around and he was walking with me. So we sat down on the grass in front of whereever the hell we were and I leaned back onto Carl's shoulder and was like "I have nowhere to gooo, I'm a run away" which was really random LMFAO and THEN he was like "well come have dinner at the house" and yeah.... I dunno, taht's one of my fave dreams of all time, pretty much.

So I'm out of school today and I'm sorty of loopy, so it's only natural that I had a really fucked up dream. But it wasn't that fucked up. So. From the begining. I had a dream that I was on a cruise with my family, and there were these asian people with us who kept insulting me. So when we were leaving the cruise I took the father asian man's coffee and spilt it over his head. then I ran away and ended up in a shop in London. I changed my shirt and hid behind the rack until everyone who was searching for me left me alone. Apparently I was supposed to be there, I was staying with one of my friends family members (er she's not british in real life at ALL but ok then!). I changed into my pjs because it was getting to be night and lmfao. the Horrors randomly walked by and I'm like "wow I love London look at all the bands I'm seeing just walk by" LMFAO. I DOUBT IT'S LIKE THAT. So anyways. I go to the kitchen table and apparently either the family's good friends with DPT or Carlos or something. And sitting at the kitchen table is Anthony.... so.... I sat down next to him and in my mind I'm like "SHITTTT" but I was really cool and composed and started cracking jokes like I usually do when I'm kind of uncomfortable, or around a band member LMFAO. So Anthony starts laughing and leaning really close and smiling at me and SHIT. It was a gooood dream. So he starts being like "oh you're american too? I've always been looking for a funny, nice american girl..." and I'm like "oh really?" then he's like "I have a long walk home, would you walk with me so I'm not lonely?" and I'm like "er.... yeah?????" and then he's like "kay I have to shower, I'll be right back" and yeah. Then I climbed up to the roof of the place and watched Peter play like it was Love Music, Hate Racism or something at Trafalgar. Then I jumped down and Anthony was waiting for me and I don't remember much else.. cough... But it was a nice dream. I really enjoyed that. I have a problem, don't I? I need to address my Stanthony problem. LMFAO. LMFAO. And erm... that's it.

Yeti's just awesome, haha, I've got a major crush on their music :laugh4: I think Tea uploaded their new EP which isn't really on the 'space a few pages back. But don't bother looking, it's almost impossible to find anything! I'm sure she can post it again when she comes back online! ;) I encourage everybody to check it out, just cuz I don't think there's enough fans of them out there! Really different, but still nice haha And yeap, I love the Libs the most, too. Just can't go wrong with them, ever. You like their first or second album better? I'm partial to 'Up The Bracket', myself.
