You can't rely on Milan, cos they have imports, there. I don't think EMI is releasing a single on Dec 23...

From The Sun http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2005580438,00.html Blue Peter badge for Chris BRIT Awards, Grammys and platinum discs are all very well but CHRIS MARTIN has finally been given the accolade he covets most – a Blue Peter badge. The COLDPLAY frontman was given a gold version of the honour in a surprise presentation by show host KONNIE HUQ. Chris, who works tirelessly for the charity Make Trade Fair, was thrilled. Speaking exclusively to me backstage at Earls Court, where the band played a triumphant show on Thursday, Chris said: “I’ve always wanted a criminal record and a Blue Peter badge — now I’ve got both. “I was very honoured to get the gold badge and I love Konnie Huq so I was pleased to meet her. “I was on the show to present an award to a 12-year-old lad who had done lots of work for Make Trade Fair and they surprised me by giving me the badge.” Mild-mannered Chris is the last rock star you would imagine to have a criminal record, but his “scuffles” with photographers have got him in trouble with the boys in blue. He also revealed another ambition when he stole a kiss from me, above. Showing his fun side, Chris told me: “I want to be described as a love rat in The Sun. If I kiss you can I be love rat Chris Martin?” Chris took baby daughter APPLE to meet Blue Peter presenters MATT BAKER, LIZ BARKER, GETHIN JONES, ZOE SALMON and Konnie. But the presenters turned the tables and gave him the top-ranking badge that is reserved for people who have achieved greatness. The show decided to commend his hard work with Make Trade Fair — which works to give poor nations a better deal on exports — and Live 8. Chris joins an impressive gallery of stars who have gold badges. The show — which has been running for 47 years — has previously honoured DAVID BECKHAM, MADONNA, TOM HANKS, BRAD PITT, EWAN McGREGOR and THE QUEEN. The badge is a brooch in the shape of the programme’s ship logo. Chris has been wearing his with pride ever since he got it. He told me: “It’s one of the best things I’ve ever received.” Apart from your Bizarre Awards, of course, Chris.- Bald Will

No live album, please. A dvd is good enough :) Their new album must include just new songs :) :) :)- Darkness slams Coldplay
The reason is the single they're releasing this week. The the album that's gonna follow. He has to promote his new project, the best way to do it is to bash a successful band and coldplay is the most successful band of 2005. How sad !- Darkness slams Coldplay
I think business is business, Chris doesn't care at all at what this guy has to say to promote his new album. At least, leave aside Apple: she's just a lovely little girl who can't reply to this :( :( :(- Darkness slams Coldplay
From Entertainment Wise Justin Hawkins: Chris Martin Should Burn In Hell And Bono too... By: Scott Colothan on 09/11/2005 Justin Hawkins has sensationally slammed Chris Martin and Bono, saying that the Coldplay frontman should burn in hell. In the outspoken interview, he also said that he hates Bono’s egotistical ‘holier than thou’ attitude. Asked which star should burn in hell, Hawkins replied, “Chris Martin. What are those seven deadly sins again? Greed? Sloth?” “Calling your child Apple? He’s terribly vain. I think he has a narcissism complex. He wants to be Bono, but he bleats in interviews about worrying about being ubiquitous. “Make your fucking mind up. If you want to be a household name, be a household name.” In the Kerrang! interview, he ranted on: “Writing ‘Fair Trade’ on his hand. If you’re concerned about Fair Trade, tattoo it on your skin, don’t just fucking write it on your hand in felt tip.” Turning his attention to Bono, Hawkins blathered “I hate people being holier than thou. Like Bono getting an audience with the Pope, was all for Bono’s ego.”- Chris Extra
From UK Flava David Bowie and Coldplay's Chris Martin are set to appear in the second series of Ricky Gervais's 'Extras'. Ricky has admitted he is "in negotiations" with the rockers to have cameo roles in the hilarious show. The funnyman has been friends with Bowie since they filmed a sketch together for charity show Comic Relief earlier this year, so he is hoping the legendary singer will agree to send himself up on 'Extras'. Meanwhile, Ricky approached Chris - who is married to Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow - when they met at this summer's Live 8 concert in London. If they agree to take part, the musicians will join a long list of A-list stars to poke fun at themselves in the sitcom, which has been nominated for a record five British Comedy Awards. Hollywood stars Kate Winslet, Ben Stiller and Samuel L Jackson all played distorted versions of themselves in the first series of the show, which follows film extra Andy (Gervais) on his desperate quest to get a speaking part in a movie.- Darkness slams Coldplay
From XFM Darkness: Coldplay Should "Burn In Hell" The Darkness have sensationally slammed Coldplay frontman’s Chris Martin’s ‘narcissistic’ attitude, and are forced to buy their own LPs to prevent a premature internet leak. Justin Hawkins has openly criticised Coldplay and U2 frontmen Chris Martin and Bono over their public opinions. When asked by Kerrang! Magazine which public figure should burn in hell, Hawkins replied, “Chris Martin. What are those seven deadly sins again? Greed? Sloth?” “Calling your child Apple? He’s terribly vain. I think he has a narcissism complex. He wants to be Bono, but he bleats in interviews about worrying about being ubiquitous. Make your fucking mind up. If you want to be a household name, be a household name. “Writing ‘Fair Trade’ on his hand. If you’re concerned about Fair Trade, tattoo it on your skin, don’t just fucking write it on your hand in felt tip.” Hawkins also claimed he hates Bono’s egotistical ‘holier than thou’ attitude saying, “I hate people being holier than thou. Like Bono getting an audience with the Pope, was all for Bono’s ego.” In other news, it has emerged that Justin Hawkins has been doing a little shopping on eBay – for his own album. Hawkins has bought back a copy of his new album after finding it on sale online to prevent an internet leak. The album, 'One Way Ticket To Hell...And Back', isn't released until November 28, however Justin explained, "I've bought our own album back off this character who's selling it on eBay. It cost me £350 and it's going to be a tenner when it's in the shops - with artwork. "It's encoded so we'll have a name and a number,” he continued in an interview with the BBC, “So we'll know which disc it is, who distributed it and who they distributed it to. “And that person is going to go down. He is either going to get some sort of legal intervention or he certainly won't receive an album from our record company ever again." The band release their comeback single 'One Way Ticket' on November 14. The band will also be hitting the road in the New Year. Tickets go one sale tomorrow morning (November 11) from 9am from the Xfm Xchange on 0871 222 1049 or from the Xfm Online Ticket Shop by clicking here. Are you saying she took his verginity ? :o :o :stunned:  - Chris Martin in Nelly Furtado Loose album
From Rolling Stone Nelly Furtado Cuts Loose Timbaland, Pharrell, Scott Storch lend beats to Canadian crooner's latest "The first day we were jamming, the speaker actually caught fire -- seriously," says Canadian songbird Nelly Furtado, who jetted down to Miami to record Loose, the follow-up to 2003's Folklore, with hip-hop hitmaker Timbaland. Timbo, who ended up producing more than half of the record's fourteen tracks, is just one of several stars Furtado recruited for the disc (due this spring), a group that also includes Pharrell Williams, Scott Storch and Shakira producer Lester Mendez, who worked on the Spanish-language reggaeton-style "No Hay Igual." Coldplay frontman Chris Martin stopped by the studio in August when he was in town for MTV's Video Music Awards to add vocals to "All Good Things Come to an End." "He loves Timbaland, and Timbaland loves Coldplay," says Furtado. "It was like a match made in heaven. The two of them just looked like two kids in a candy store." The potential first single is "Promiscuous Girl," a club track with a Timbaland beat and Furtado flipping rhymes about celebrating your inner slut. "This phase in my life is all about feel," says Furtado, describing the song's sexy, slow-jam vibe. "I'm more in touch with my emotions and my body, so the music is really dance-oriented." Furtado, who isn't currently in a relationship, attributes this newfound body-consciousness to her daughter, Nevis, who was born in 2003: "I think when you first become a mother, you reclaim your body a little bit."- Coldplay Convince Anton Corbijn To Helm 'Talk' Video
A U2 director for a U2 song: it's the perfect match ! :embarrased: :stunned: They're working on new songs, at least ! Let's hope this X&Y era end as soon as possible... :idea2:- Q&A: Chris Martin (from RS)
24/10/2005 18:57:54 News from Al-Mendhar Q&A: Chris Martin The latest Coldplay album, "X&Y," has become a bona fide international hit, and already some have begun comparing the rock quartet to U2 and other great rock bands. Frontman Chris Martin is keeping his feet firmly planted on planet Earth, though. The American music magazine Rolling Stone catches up with the 28-year-old singer, husband of actress Gwyneth Paltrow, to talk about his influences, his famous song "The Scientist" … and his DNA. Q. Do your parents play any instruments? A. My mom plays everything. She and my Uncle Charlie are music geeks. But both of them came from an era where they could never consider doing it as a job. I just came across this song that Dylan covered called "Froggie Went A-Courtin'," and I remembered walking along the lanes, sitting on my uncle's shoulders, and he used to sing that song. Q. Hypothetically speaking, if Gwyneth dumped you, what's the first record you'd throw on? A. I wouldn't put one on, I'd write one. Well, maybe "Blood on the Tracks." Dylan's in my big six, with Kraftwerk, Eno, U2, Radiohead and Bob Marley. Sigur Ros would be the seventh. Q. What album have you listened to the most this year? A. Arcade Fire's "Funeral." I absolutely love them. Sometimes it's good to have someone coming up behind you as well as someone ahead. It's fine to have my musical Mount Rushmore, but we've gotta be good because of upstarts like Arcade Fire. Q. What's the story behind writing "The Scientist"? A. On the second album I was thinking there was something missing. I was in this really dark room in Liverpool, and there was a piano so old and out of tune … I really wanted to try and work out the George Harrison song "Isn't It a Pity," but I couldn't. Then this song came out at once. I said, "Can you turn on the recorder?" The first time I sung it is what's out there. - Talk single: out ?
