  11. This is from Chris Lowe of Pet Shop Boys, NME interview You're qorking with legendary G4 producer Trevor Horn. When will the album be ready ? Unfortunately, what happened is that we thought we'd written all the songs and then we heard Coldplay's and we realised we didn't have one song better than theirs, so we had to go away and rewrite them all, which is where we are now. Oh dear! No!I'm quoting a Coldplay NME interview! Do you not read NME ?It's the real reason their album was delayed.

  22. From RTE.ie Martin and Paltrow are leaving Britain Colplay's Chris Martin and his wife, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, are leaving Britain after being frightened by the recent terror attacks on London. The pair have reportedly decided that a new home in Los Angeles will be the perfect location to bring up their one-year-old daughter, Apple. As well as the recent London bombings, an attempted break-in has also scared singer Chris. "Chris thinks LA will provide a better quality of life," one friend told tabloid newspaper the Daily Star. Paltrow is reportedly also pleased that she will be close to Hollywood, which she hopes will help her career. ContactMusic PALTROW DESERTS BRITAIN GYWNETH PALTROW is househunting in Los Angeles because she no longer feels safe in London following last month's (07JUL05) terrorist attacks. The SLIDING DOORS actress currently has homes in London and New York but can't relax in either of the terrorist targetted cities. And she is determined not to let anything threaten her cosy family life with husband CHRIS MARTIN and daughter APPLE. A source tells British newspaper The Mail on Sunday, "They are worried about safety in London following the bombings. "Gywneth also needs to be close to the studios. Chris is happy for them to have a third home in LA because he thinks it will provide a better quality life for his family." 28/08/2005 14:05 Don't know how reliable is Daily Star, but that's it !

  25. Take a deep breath and read...   From billboard Red Hot Coldplay Looks To The Future by Ray Waddell, Nashville Coldplay's ongoing Twisted Logic tour is doing huge business as the box office in North America, but the U.K. group already has its sight set on the future. Following the Dec. 20 close of a European tour, Coldplay will return to North America in February for an arena tour that will run through mid-April, the group's manager, Dave Holmes, tells Billboard. The current tour is proving as successful as Coldplay's third Capitol album, "X&Y," which in 11 weeks has sold 1.9 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Given Coldplay's love of touring and recording, does one conflict with the other? "Yes, in a way," Holmes says. "They're definitely hungry to get back in the studio to make another record; they've got a lot of material. So for next year we're looking at building a tour around their recording schedule. Ultimately it could potentially mean we end up releasing another record [next year] and continuing to tour well into '07." With Coldplay's rapid growth and global appeal, some have compared the band to U2, which continues to sell-out out stadiums and arenas worldwide. Holmes balks at the U2 reference, but sees why some would make it. "I'm not a big fan of comparisons, because these are really different bands in terms of their music," he says. "But I suppose there are some similarities in terms of the way we're trying to build it, and I don't disagree with why people would have similar expectations of this band."
