  1. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2KTcA22ea4&feature=player_embedded]YouTube- Chris Martin - Coldplay new song - wedding bells[/ame]
  2. Quite simply brilliant. I can't remember last time I was so impressed by a Coldplay video. Brilliant.
  3. people like you are what is wrong with music. just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it's not good.
  4. you know what i just realised - and this is one of the harshest things i've ever contemplated... i think if martin and paltrow were ever to break up it might act as the catalyst for coldplay creating their masterpiece.
  5. this, but politik instead of green eyes.
  6. sigh. coldplay WILL have heard of joe satriani. practically everyone in the world has heard of satch. just because you haven't doesn't mean they're as musically single-minded.
  7. Glass Of Water 23 Life In Technicolor ii 23 + Prospekt's March/ Poppyfields 18 Rainy Day 12 Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground 6 -
  8. You all don't understand it. They didn't take it off the album because it was an obvious single; they took it off the album because its obviousness made it a 'safe' track to put on their LP.
  9. Satchfan mate. It's obvious that you're partly here to wind people up, which is fair enough, it's the Internet, it happens and it's actually sometimes pretty funny, especially here where there are people deluded enough to believe Coldplay are musically groundbreaking, flawless and the definition of all things good. That said, you can't expect much more from a Coldplaying fan forum than for the vast majority to stick up for the people they are such huge supporters of.
  10. I think it's quite evident he hasn't been entirely ripped off. It's a melody, and a fantastic one. That two musicians couldn't stumble upon it independently is something ludicrous to suggest; perhaps Martin has heard If I Could Fly and the melody subconsciously arose from it, but I can't for the life of me conceive that he would deliberately rip it off. When they liked the Kraftwerk riff, they asked permission to use it. Martin constantly makes jokes about how he is the world's best plagiarist; you don't honestly think he'd say that were there any malice about it, do you?
  11. Lol. Some of you are showing quite how little you know about music by saying things like, "who IS this guy anyway?" I don't think he will win the lawsuit for a second, but it does concern me slightly that a reputed guitarist like Satriani would consider it an actual possibility.
  12. so if anyone wants to meet...i'm thinking first bar on the left at 8.00. that's where i'll be anyway :P
  13. 42 'drops off'?
  14. Lol. No. No, they're not, and if you genuinely think that you have a poor knowledge of music. I think the last paragraph is great though. On their UK tour, Coldplay will mix tracks from Viva La Vida with choice material from their three previous albums X and Y, A Rush of Blood to the Head and their debut, Parachutes. To besotted fans they will sound like the best, most elevating rock band on the planet. To some extent this means that they are. Damn straight.
