  2. Iris..is couldn't have been that bad!! :laugh1:
  3. No matter how long anyone discusses this topic, no conclusion will be reached. It is after all people taking about people. People have different views on other people, from the experiences they've had. Thats what this thread is all about really. Age is merely a measure at which to measure people. And an excuse for large companies to make money on Birthdays.
  4. I think thats the point to be taken from this thread. Age, says how old someone is (duh!) but its the experiences on earth that you learn from, not the length of time you've been here.
  5. I think its the same with most teenages. I know this is a generalisation..but hay. A majority, small or large..depending on the social setting do go out and get hammered/smashes...whatever every weekend. Some of them do very well in school and get the best jobs though. Soem of them, also aren't messers or such in school, so they may not be conseidered 'immature'. Drinking and partying is just paart of the culture in so many countries. :\
  6. Obviously age isnt the best meter to judge people, but in my opinion its the only way. For instance rules regarding drinking alcohol are normall at 18, 16 in other countries. That, obviously means that, according to the state you're mature enough to drink at 18, were as some are maturer at 15 then others at 18. In terms of these 'norms' or generilisations, this is a different story. To say that its normal at 5 to talk, at 7 to spell, at 25 to be married is crazy. Unfortunately though, are society is dominated by these norms. You must fit in, and do what is 'normal' and what others do or else you'll stand out.
