They just take information from multiple forums and hope it goes their way. A Camila fan page "leaked" information about Jupiter before them, with tracklist and all, and you wanna know where they got that from?

I agree the podcast didn't covered anything new (I mean, I edit Coldplay's Wikipedia pages and they took some information from there, lol), but I think it was a pretty cool listen for outsiders or new/casual fans.

All the information about an alleged rollout were baseless fan theories, so it's not like there was anything scheduled to begin with.

You said fans have legitimate reasons to criticize Coldplay for collaborating with BTS, but personal opinions are not legitimate, they are... Well, personal opinions. I'm not sure I understood your touring example either, an album being bad doesn't automatically translate into the show being bad. MOTS as a concert run earned them good will in all fronts.

Quality-wise, BTS are among the most acclaimed acts of their genre. If you're talking about personal taste then the criticism doesn't really hold that much legitimacy as you first claimed.

I still don't understand exactly what you mean. Authenticity for example is hardly a problem when BTS are involved in the writing of their material.

Completely unrelated to what I just said, but you guys would be surprised with how much South Korean groups love the band, American rappers too. From my experience in other music circles, they are mostly appreciated by pretty much every genre outside of alternative rock. Quite ironic, isn't it?

The biggest problem with Coldplay's fandom, specially those hating on their newer material, is overthinking. Everyday Life was made to experiment, MOTS was made to perform live. The band themselves said that. But then you arrive at places like Reddit and people are writing essays about how they are desperate for sales or becoming label puppets when nothing is ever that deep. Take the lashings My Universe received for example, all those sell out comments when in reality it was BTS who wanted and asked for a collaboration in the first place.

Just heard the two new snippets and both sound great. From Earth with Love is clearly a demo but I see the potential in it.
