  1. I don't think Jupiter is the lead if it has a feature on it. All their leads have been solo tracks.
  2. Any Coldplay content that does not come from Coldplay is better for you people these days. At this point the band should cancel the tour and retire altogether since apparently nothing they do is ever enough.
  3. It's not a rumour, Guy told a fan in one of his Applied Art Forms meet ups. Yes.
  4. I think Higher Power will remain the opener. They might replace Biutyful, but I don't count on it. Human Heart and POTP (a shame in the latter's case). Charlie Brown and Something Just Like This. Orphans, I had a blast with it in Curitiba. Not sure if it's doable but having Holograms would rock. Hell yes!
  5. It was Guy. Max still produced Coloratura despite its length, he might suggest that a song should be shorter or have different production but in the end is up to the band whether they will abide or not. I actually heard a podcast interview with him the other day and he basically confirms this, he mentioned not liking telling people what to do and enjoying working with artists who have a clear artistic vision.
  6. Just to finish this little rant here, I don't get why people say MOTS was not genuine either. The band mentioned being desperate to tour again after the pandemic and as a reflection of that we received stadium-ready, easy-to-remember songs. One can say the album is bad and all, but its sentiment was very much genuine.
  7. Anyway, in case anyone was wondering, I talked with a guy who was in the meeting briefly on Twitter and the "high-pitched" vocals from Will are not like Angel Moon or anything, just him doing falsettos. I'm particularly excited for that one because I find his voice very pretty.
  8. I really like the possibility of Max and Brian working together, they are both great producers on their own lanes and goes to further show how versatile Coldplay are. People keep demonizing Max but forget not only that he produced Coloratura, but also that the rest of the album sounds like that because the band wanted. They are fathers on their 40s, not teenagers being controlled.
  9. Hello Jeffs, welcome! I tried to do a bit of research and apparently the Yamaha CS-80 was used for the X&Y album, not sure about AROBTTH unfortunately.
  10. Either way, this is not really important anymore, Coldplay's discography as it stands right now have good catalogue sales and a massive cross-generational appeal. They found success in three different consumption formats (physical, digital, streaming) and became a touring force, no other group from this century comes close. With that said: can they give us Aeterna already? My life depends on it 🫠
  11. Higher Power did ok considering how much Everyday Life flopped. The sales are not that far away from Shiver or In My Place and the song had much less time to increase its total. I think their next single could be a hit if they get the promotion right (less performances, more playlists), the tour did wonders for the band's popularity.
  12. Just looked up Phil's name now, he is registered under a company called Atlas Music Limited and is their only member.
  13. It's always rather fun finding an old thread like this. Coldplay renewed their contract with Parlophone in the end but they now own the masters from every release starting from Music of the Spheres. Here's their active companies as of today: Chris Infinity Station Films Limited Oceans' Recordings Limited Flock of Birds Touring LLP Piritam Limited Jonny Infinity Station Films Limited Oceans' Recordings Limited Flock of Birds Touring LLP Sydney Food Limited Piritam Limited Will Infinity Station Films Limited Oceans' Recordings Limited Flock of Birds Touring LLP Sydney Food Limited Piritam Limited Guy Infinity Station Films Limited Unsigned Group LDT Dawghaus Limited Ratino Limited Oceans' Recordings Limited Flock of Birds Touring LLP Piritam Limited Will has two profiles for some reason and you can only find his Infinity Station Films register in the duplicate one. Everything else has been dissolved or they parted ways with the company.
  14. I have to disagree with you on most expensive, Coldplay are 10x bigger than Arcade Fire and Bon Iver in terms of popularity. When it comes to touring, their peers are the likes of U2, the Rolling Stones and Madonna. If you check out the biggest tours of all time, Coldplay ticket prices are among the lowest. Considering production value, brand name and everything else, they are cheap (or at least fair-priced).
  15. They mentioned still wanting to perform but you know what? I hope Coldplay retires entirely in 2025, y'all put them through too much bullsh*t and they don't deserve it.
  16. It's more likely he makes the same simplified version of the bass line for all live performances and this one a one-off. What do you people want to do next? Say they have no talent at all? It's giving conspiracy theory at this point. Jesus.
  17. Also, I don't get why people insist in forgetting Chris is only a regular human being, one that was breathing harmful chemicals for around 50 shows last year and ended up getting a lung infection because of it. I'm sure he would love to sing all of it completely live but this isn't 2000 anymore, they are not a small band that can just cancel last minute over illness. Vocals for Us Against the World on March 22nd were top notch by the way, he's still a very good singer.
  18. I was in Curitiba and I'm 100% sure Chris lipsynced certain songs on Day 1 but not Day 2, they are switching between songs, so of course a "masterpost" will look like this.
  19. I thought the instrumental was very pretty, actually. The lyrics are essentially two lines but someone said on Twitter it reminds them of a mantra (like Chinese Sleep Chant), so if they are going for that I love it even more.
  20. Based off Aeterna alone, I think Moon Music might be something like their own spin of The Weeknd's Dawn FM, which in turn is an amazing album and also produced by Max Martin. Anyway... I'm curious about Vol. 3 now, I mean, if the self-titled album is the back to basics one, what would "Home" be?
  21. Chris had a meeting with Love Button volunteers a few hours ago and he told some details about Moon Music: Aeterna was described as a short song and Jupiter is more "pride" than People of the Pride. The people who met them are part of Viva Coldplay on Twitter and also said there's a song with "Alien Radio" and "Alien" + something else on the title, but they were too stunned to remember. Additionally, Chris told them the title of Vol. 3 (it has the word "Home" in it) and that Moon Music will have nine songs, but more could be added.
