well i dunno 400 may be a bit too much for me right now.... i called a nearby music store and they said they had some yamaha acoustic for around 150... does nebody kno if yamaha's are any good?

Ok so I want to start learning guitar now, and I was just wondering exactly what kind of model I should get etc. I wanna go for an acoustic but I don't know what to expect for pricing, and what is a good price for somebody just starting off. Well I just watched Wedding Crashers last night and was surprised (pleasantly) when I heard a good portion of Sparks played during one scene in the movie. It actually kinda seemed a little weird to hear it... probly cus I've heard the song so many times and didn't expect it to show up there :P Anyways I was wondering whether anybody else has heard Coldplay music in movies or tv, etc. and what you guys thought about it.

Hey I've been learning Everything's Not Lost on piano recently and i'm having a lot of trouble figuring out this one chord at the start of the song that keeps recurring throughout the piece.. If you look at the sheet music the first chord is E, G#, B (right hand) followed by F natural, G#, B. The next chord is the one i'm having trouble with, it says on the sheet that it is E, G natural, A#, C double sharp... From what I read about double sharps its two half tones above the note, so i guess that C double sharp is actually D. I play that but with the left hand playing "F#" it sounds really off and i'm not sure what my mistake is! Are these the right notes?? Any help would be great, thanks

o thanks for the compliments! yeah they were all voices just combined together, i used something like air choir for the background in clocks, plus slow strings as well.. on my keyboard you can also add effects like reverb, etc to add to the effect. it isn't too hard actually because there's a cool track editor thing that let's you adjust each and every track that you add into a song. drums were probably the hardest though because i had to try and figure out what sounded the closest to the song, and I know nothing about drums! since the notes i download for coldplay is arranged entirely for the piano, i usually end up replacing the bass clef notes with the bass guitar voice, and just keep the treble cleff in piano or change it to something else depending on how the original song goes.

Hey Guys, Well I try to play some Coldplay songs on my piano every once and a while, but recently I've been messing around with my piano (a Yamaha Clavinova) and started incorporating the rest of the band into my songs! Well i've just heard only superstition recently and the first lyric of the song is really starting to bug me. I've looked for the songs lyrics on at least five different websites, all of which have given me seperate words to the first line! The cardboard head I see.... A cardboard inner city.... Look up ahead I see.... It's RIDICULOUS. But I did go to the official coldplay site and they gave me: A copper head I see... Which I guess is the most reliable source, but still having all these different lyrics is extremely confusing, don't u think?
