Oh, hey there everyone. Tonight I decided to take a walk outside and listen to some Joy Division. Whenever I just listen to them it's amazing. I put on Closer, and the first song, Atrocity Exhibition, has got the greatest opening drum riff EVER. It stopped me in my tracks briefly and I was like "oh my god"... It was like sex or something. Wow. That's actually only the second time I heard that song. The first was driving to Lollapalooza in the middle of the night while I was driving, so I didn't really get an opportunity to get lost in it. But this gave me chills. Parts of it almost drove me to tears. What a beautiful arrangement.

That is true. I think people are more aware of the other members of Radiohead than the other members of Coldplay. I don't think Radiohead to be arrogant. I think Thom Yorke can be kind of a twat sometimes, but I will defend him to the ends of the earth, because the man is an incredible artist and has profoundly influenced my life.

I kind of just want to do a radiohead cover band. I'm not so bad at writing my own tunes, but I suck at lyrics. I think it sounds much more interesting to adapt songs I like into my own style. Given I could pull it off, like Mr. Mayer here has.

Vampire Weekend is awesome. Such a terrific album.

Alright so today on the radio I heard "Machine Gun" and I didn't know who it was, though I had heard it before. The whole time I was like "holy shit this is a good song." I just kept saying that over and over in my head. Then I found out it was Portishead, and as I stated before, I ONLY know The Rip (which is one of my new all time favorite songs) but it was this song that finally got it into my head that I need to get their latest album.
