  1. Don't you use tab programs like Power Tab Editor (Freeware) or Guitar Pro? There are tons of powertabs or guitar pro-tabs available on sites like http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/ or http://www.911tabs.com On my computer I've got like more than three versions of almost any Coldplay-song in Guitar Pro format(.gp3,.gp4 or .gp5). There are less Power Tabs (.ptb) available, but generally, their quality is better so if you find one, you can be sure it's correct.
  2. It's a myth...this song was written in Iceland (probably Reykjavik, as that's the only big settelment on Iceland as far as I know) The drugs idea might be right, especially abroad our capital (I am Dutch) is renowned for its policy towards drugs. Actually, many foreigners misinterpretate the Dutch drugs policy. Using soft-drugs is officially forbidden, the Dutch government does nothing about it though. Using hard drugs or trading any kind of drugs IS prohibited and you can be caught for that. (Sorry if I just blew up someone's dream)
  3. It depends on what you want to do, if you just want to try playing the guitar, you could buy a copy or rent an instrument. If you're more serious, you might thing of Squiers, these cost around €/$ 250,- . A very nice type of guitar to start with is a Stratocaster, since it has either a smooth and a clean sound
  4. One I Love by Coldplay was actually one of the first songs I could play on guitar, other easy ones might be Don't Panic or Nothing Else Matters (Metallica)
  5. Does it contain Synths-notes?
  6. Are these ready to print? I found some others at the web but those looked very bad.... by the way, another one interested in turning these into .ptb (Power Tab Editor) files?
  7. Check this post, you can find power tabs there (including yellow) with almost every instrument (Yeah, this piano sound too) http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27963
  8. I thought it would be a nice idea to share Power Tabs (.ptb) files here. Since the Power Tabs Archive has been closed (http://www.powertabs.net) ------For the ones who don't know what Power Tabs are---------------------------------------- Power Tabs are small files containing the partiture of a song. It looks just like the partitures in a songbook. Their suffix is .ptb. They can be opened with the Power Tab Editor (freeware; download at http://www.power-tab.net) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are mine: http://rapidshare.de/files/13045383/Coldplay_tabs.zip.html Including Clocks, Trouble, Speed Of Sound, Warning Sign, Daylight, Yellow, In My Place, Fix You, Don't Panic, Sparks, High Speed and Parachutes I hope that the other owners of CP- powertabs will be so kind to post theirs soon....
  9. Guitar: Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven (Solo) Piano: Yann Tiersen - Comptine d'un autre été. (Amélie soundtrack)
  10. Hi people, I was curious about the guitar Buckland plays during Daylight, on the Live 2003 DVD. I know he usually plays a Fender Thinline Telecaster, but this one is different.... It's like black and white... ,,,Kees
  11. Heeft iemand hier ooit gehoord van "Mooie Ellebogen"? Martin song het een keer in Ahoy (in 2002 volgens mij). Die uitspraak----. Ik verta de helft niet... EN: Anyone heard about "Mooie Ellebogen".. Martin sung this Dutch song once in Ahoy, Rotterdam. This pronunciation-->I understand less than a half...
  12. TWENTS (Small Lower-Saxon dialect) fluent DUTCH (or Netherlandic): fluent ENGLISH: Not fluent, I make some grammar mistakes, but I speak/write/understand it quite well GERMAN: I understand almost everything in German, (perhaps because of the dialect I speak), I speak German quite OK, I'm able to let people know what I want to say, but my sentences are stuffed with error  s (Wo ist der Bahnhof? Ich muss mit dem Zug zu Berlin...) SPANISH: Quite good, I practised a lot during the Ruta Quetzal, a Spanish study voyage. Listening is still quite tricky... (¡Hola chavales! ¿qúe tal? He participado en la Ruta Quetzal :P ) FRENCH: Reading and writing are okay, speaking is just enough to buy some thing in a store and listening is crap...(Je voudrais un pain... :( ) SWEDISH / DANISH: Just enough to buy something in a store (Jag vill gärna köper en bok.) and to present myself (Hej, Jag heter Kees). If I read a text I can guess what the topic is... Then some words in Italian and Russian (Gde zdes toallett?)... :idea2: Maybe, one day, I will study Russian.... :snore:
  13. Piano: Clocks, Trouble, Amsterdam, The Hardest Part, Fix You, Everything's Not Lost, In My Place Guitar: One I Love, Yellow, Trouble, Don't Panic, Shiver, Green Eyes, In My Place, God Put A Smile Upon Your Face, Some more, I just keep practising all day... :smug:
  14. My Winrar says the file is damaged, could you please take a look at it.....? Thanz...
  15. Hi guys!!! Like every year, some Dutch radio stations organize a TOP 1000 of all times. Votings for the 'Radio Veronica' hitparade have closed, the list is published but there's one thing....It's still not clear who the number 1, 2, and 3 are. So here's my idea: Go to this site: http://www.radioveronica.asp4all.nl/index.aspx?FilterId=975&ChapterId=1300&ContentId=331476 Then click: "Stem hier" , it means 'vote here', it's somewhere in the middle A pop-up will come, tick "Clocks" by Coldplay, fill in your name and e-mail (you can choose to fill in fake names) and press VERSTUUR (SEND)...Your vote is there! Let's hope Clocks will get number one!!!
