well... not really sure... they had to take out a LOT of my lymph nodes under both arms, which has caused some really bad problems with swelling and the circulation in my arms. that is why i have to be so careful about how long i stay in one position, and i have to elevate my arms a lot of the time. that part should get better as my body compensates. they are still trying to decide the next step. my doc wanted me to start a run of chemo the first of january, but all the cancer docs say no, that i can't take it because i don't weigh enough... etc. so now directed radiation therapy is being considered. it has been much more painful than i expected... and a lot harder than i expected. but i feel like i am seeing the end of the tunnel - today is the first day i haven't needed so much pain medicine and have felt like myself. been up and about quite a lot sort of helping decorate my tree, etc. feeling alive again. i missed you eric
