  5. as you will see, kentucky is not famed for low calorie cooking - but this is about as down-home kentucky as it gets... and it is amazing!! :D KENTUCKY HOT BROWN INGREDIENTS: · 3 ounces turkey breast, roasted, sliced or ham (or both) · 1 slice toasted white bread · 2 slices tomato · 2 slices bacon, cooked and drained · Sauce: · 2 ounces butter · 3 ounces flour · 3/4 cup cream · 1/4 cup milk · 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, grated · salt and white pepper to taste PREPARATION: Heat butter and add flour. Whisk and slowly cook for 5 minutes. Whisk in cream and milk and heat. Whisk in cheese until melted. Season. Simmer for 30 minutes. Sauce should be very thick. Quarter toast and place in an oven safe dish. Top with turkey and tomatoes. Cover well with sauce. Sprinkle a bit of grated cheese on top. Bake at 400F for 10 minutes. Garnish with bacon. Then turn on the broiler for about 1 to 2 minutes.

  17. i met my husband in high school, we were together thoughout college, married right before graduate school. then he passed away in an accident almost 2 years ago. so we had almost 10 years together.
  18. bragging about a start date is like the guy at the bar who says "but i drive a porshe" to impress. just because there are some of us that have family obligations, children to care for, and careers to further, and thus have not had time to join a message board, doesn't give one any less credibility. i just think the whole "teenybopper" and "noob" thing is petty and childish because those terms are bandied about in quite a derrogatory manner. i just don't think it is neccessary. i read no disclaimer when joining this site that stated: "no teenagers allowed" or "new members must be seen and not heard." everyone here has the right to express his or her opinion regardless of the length of time they have been a member.
  19. ahem..... hahaha my I Talk Shit About Coldplay thread was overrun by teeny-boppers! hahaha That just cracks me up to no end. ... {quote} found in the Kyle thread in the lounge kinda rings of making fun of others to me... so thus my statement was correct. but hey, if chuckling at teenagers and others whose opinions differ from yours is your thing, go wild!! it's rather sad, but whatever...
  20. ^better not talk about me when i am gone  night guys!!
  21. see you're already getting the lingo. goodnight eric - sweet dreams!!
