Does anyone have a picture of Guy's Golden Ticket t-shirt please?

Chris Martins Hand
I've drawn the '=' on my hand with a black marker i found in the kitchen, but I can't find coloured tape anywhere  I thought it may be rubbery things actually, cos after the Manchester gig he took them off and threw them into the crowd, hmm, and it didn't look like tape - any suggestions please? I need some!!!

Will Champions best drum beats??
I think "In My Place" is absolutely amazing!!! I try so hard to replicate on my kness and with my hands if you get my drift and it's so hard! Keeping the right hand going and getting the left beat and the foot correct. That sends a shiver down my spine when I hear Will's In My Place intro :D

A bit random but none the less, somewhat important... MTF
Well done for raising money for Make Poverty History :) It's something I've become really interested in thanks to Live 8 raising awareness and Coldplay's support of it - I even draw '=' on my hand!!! I was thinking of organising an event also. Definitely write to Coldplay, it's worth a shot, if you can get a 'big name' to endorse your work that would be the icing on the cake :)

How many albums will Coldplay have done before it's over ?
OK this is the most depressing thing I have read in a very long time. Some of you are saying 4/5/6!!! You reckon their next album could be their last?! Oh no I really hope not, they're only around the 28 age bracket which is still young. I just can't imagine them calling it a day so relatively quickly. I'm worrying now

Copy Protection when ripping CDs
I'm trying to rip some CDs onto my computer so I can put them on my mp3 player. I've been asked whether or not I want to add copy protection to my music? What should I select so that I will be able to transfer them to my mp3 player? Add or Do Not Add???

chris martins jacket
I've found Guy's "Diesel Industry Class of 78" t-shirt that he wore at the Manchester gig on 19th December!!! I'll fine the site and link it on here for you. I love it that they all wear black, well, they did for Manchester anyway! I need to get some black trousers - are they black jeans or what??? I can't find any anywhere, and when I do, I don't know if they're the same ones or not.

Manchester 19th December: The Official Thread
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! What an amazing show! I still can't believe it. A lot of it is a blur to be honest cos I was on cloud 9 for the whole show lol, but I also managed to get really close too, which I'm still shocked about - I could see Chris' sweat really well!!! Oh my gosh, I've started writing a proper 'report' on the concert which I'll post as soon as possible, along with my photos, video clips and sound recordings (the latter 2 aren't amazing but I love 'em all the same lol!) I might have bumped into you Rachel, who knows lol. I hope everyone had a fab time and I hope loads more people can TALK (yikes, I'm obsessed!) about their experiences and post some pictures and recordings. How the hell did Chris run the whole length of the arena in what seemed like 10 seconds!!! That was the funniest thing ever! I thought he was milling around the front and he was on the balcony! Ahhh, the ballooons - "Cummon man" trying to pop them lol. "You aint missing much up there at the back in terms of seeing the size of our balls" - (edit where appropriate I don't mind - it just has to be shared though  ), "97th best looking band in the world". Man, so many great quotes I'm struggling to remember them all. Sorry if this should be in the 'aftermath' thread but I've really gotta get some stuff off my chest. I didn't wanna talk about it too much in my school cos my best mate couldn't get a ticket and is gutted he couldn't go, so hopefully you'll appreciate some fun stories from me! One more thing, during the encore waiting for the guys to come back on, it was so incredible to see THE WHOLE OF THE ARENA applauding each other - I've never experienced anything like that before, shows how amazing Coldplay fans are. And from my time at the concert I can honestly say Coldplayfans ARE the coolest people in the world. OK, SERIOUSLY last thing, I think someone posted that they knew someone that looked exactly like Guy - I don't know if this was THAT 'Guy' but someone standing by me, well, I think it actually could have been Guy himself, or possibly his twin brother! OK, peace out folks, speak soon and remember that you will never be as good looking as Duran Duran.

Live Recordings with MP3 Player
I don't think it will be great quality unfortunately, but it's better than nothing I suppose. Maybe someone else will be able to get a better recording because I really wanna be able to listen back to it afterwards :)

Manchester 19th December: The Official Thread
I really can't wait for tonight! I'm in school right nowm supposed to be doing work, but I couldn't help myself, I had to come on here :D I couldn't sleep at all last night, every Coldplay song under the sun kept entering my mind!!! I probably won't be on here again today so everybody that's going tonight have an amazing time and enjoy it, and I hope everybody else that's been over the past few days have had a great time also, AND everyone that's seen them and every Coldplay fan in the entire world! Boy I'm in a particularly good mood today!

official coldplay forum?
Wow, thank you veyr much for your comments on this - I've just been searching for my past posts that I've not looked at in ages and it was nice to be able to read loads of friendly, sensible replies. The topic title, "If you are Christian do not read as you may be offended" was an offence in itself, as it was blatantly going to entail a load of people having a go at Christianity. I, like many many other people, have no problem whatsoever whether or not people believe, or what religion they are BUT what really annoys me is when people just have a go at it and are totally disrespectful towards it. Can you imagine ridiculing somebody just for not following a particular religion??? It's totally crazy, and that topic title made me so curious as to what people had to say that I couldn't help myself, and I was terribly shocked to read what some people had said. RESPECT is such a massive word, and is one of THE most relevant words that can be attached to life as we know it. I know it won't cure absolutely everything bad in the world, but it will sure do something to make people's lives more enjoyable. OK, I may be going a bit off topic, so I'll shut up now :P But thanks again for your comments :)

WHY DO WE LIKE COLDPLAY?
Yo Jazzy_luvs_Coldplay - thanks for agreeing with what I said - I just read it back and I just rambled and put down what I was thinking at the that exact moment! Having contemplated the question again I can gladly say that other people have managed to say exactly what I wanted to say perfectly, so thank you for that lol, especially one comment about them having strong moral values but being just ordinary guys - may sound strange, but I know exactly what you mean - I in particular find it hard to find ordinary people cos some of the people in my school are either stuck up themselves (I apologise for that grotesque image!) or just well, weird! Don't mean to sound shallow, but it's really refreshing to be able to relate 4 amazingly cool ordinary guys - well, ordinary and then some, cos they are flipping, extremely talented guys aren't they! OK, ramble number 2 over - basically, I love Coldplay and I never get tired of saying that - sorry again if that annoys people - I can't help pinning my colours to my mast, or whatever that phrase is! :D

Manchester 19th December: The Official Thread
Yes I heard that Victoria is right next to the MEN also. I'm just checking the MEN site to see what it says exactly... Hmm, interesting, the station is in fact underbeath the arena! Here's a link to the site: http://www.men-arena.com/arena/?page_id=76 I'm sure there'll be some places nearby where you can pop into to keep warm - can actually go into the arena and 'loiter'???

Live Recordings with MP3 Player
I'm borrowing my sister's MP3 player to voice record some of the Manchester concert - am I right in thinking that if it's a 256Mb player that it will store 256Mb worth of voice recordings, or does this only apply for MP3 files? Sorry if that seems a stupid question, but I need to know if I'l need to wype the music off the player to be able to fill it up with recordings? Help would be much appreciated so thanks in advance :D

Manchester 19th December: The Official Thread
Yo Rachel! Nice to see some fans from Liverpool. Hopefully I'll be able to leave my place of education a tad early ;) and get the 3.55 train I think it is and get to Victoria next to the MEN at around 5pm - I'll have to check the times again cos I keep forgetting! I don't know the best time to get there with regards to having standing tickets - I know some people are planning to get there extremely early in the morning, I guess to queue outside??? but I won't mind trying to worm my way to the front ;) in an orderly manner of course, the gentleman I am :D I hope you have a great time at the concert with your friend :)

Tell me something about coldplay
It's absolutely hilarious when the guys are explaining about writing to Kraftwerk asking permission to use that intro/riff for 'Talk' - Chris saying the letter to them in German. "I am (in German of course) une Coldplayer..." hehehe how funny is he, and then Guy at the end saying - "Thank you for asking our permission first, unlike that b*****d JayZ" - the way he said it was just so funny  Coldplay are the coolest funniest guys in the world ever :D Ohhhhh, I just remembered, their is a little profile on Chris Martin in today's Daily Mail TV guide - let me go and find something else to add to this fun thread... (scurries to front room...). Ok, you may already know this - apologies in advance! - Chris' full name is Christopher Anthony John Martin! His mother was a teacher and his father an accountant. Chris went to the same schoolas Jeremy Irons and John Le Carre. Chris has a degree in Ancient World Studies. Chris does an hour's yoga and runs everyday, and says he gets cross when he sees a 'tall, skinny bloke with a pot belly in the mirror'. Bless his cotton socks :) I hope this is interesting to you, and don't forget Storytellers on Channel 4 tonight at 11.30pm!!! Even if you've already seen it, it's always worth watching it over and over again :D

Manchester 19th December: The Official Thread
Ohhhh I really can't wait to go!!! I'll be getting the train at around 4pm from Liverpool I think, so hopefully in at 5pm. I'll be all on my own cos none of my friends could get tickets, so I'll have to try talking to myself :o Maybe not.

Manchester 19th December: The Official Thread
On the subject of bootlegs, what do people actually use to do voice recordings. apart from mobile phones? Are they easy to buy/expensive?
-
Manchester 19th December: The Official Thread
RA-D, there are still tickets left on eBay if you're willing to pay a little extra. I hope you get some sorted :) It would be great if people could post bootlegs (is that what they're called) with recordings of the Manchester gig so I can relive it  I can't wait either, my first Coldplay live experience. I just hope Chris' voice manages to stay strong - they've been touring for quite a while and these UK dates are really close together. I'm sure he'll be great though  I love him anyway no matter what, and Guy and Jon and Will  Coolest dudes in the world or what.

Manchester 19th December
I was wondering if anybody is planning to record the concert on 19th December at the MEN Arena (with a voice recorder perhaps), as I've seen loads of recordings in the Multimedia section put up on RapidShare. I only have my phone but it aint got enough memory to record the whole show, so it would be good to know somebody else is able to. I would if I could don't get me wrong - I aint just trying to lumber it on someone else.

Better than Cats!
For those who haven't seen this on BBC Radio 1 site: Coldplay better than Cats: He's usually Mr Modesty but Chris Martin reckons Coldplay's tour is the best one ever - good news if you've got tickets for the UK dates in a couple of weeks: "I'm not known for admitting it but we've actually become tremendously good. It's taken us a long time to get to a point where we feel totally at home, with the right venues, people and songs. I think it's really good to watch it's almost as good as Cats." I love Chris! He's so funny!!! Funny on Jonathan Ross when he said they'd sold 46 copies of X&Y and 5 were returned to Woolworths

WHY DO WE LIKE COLDPLAY?
Well, where do I begin?! I love Coldplay because... Hmmm, it's hard to explain. Basically becaus their music is absolutely, incredibly, amazingly (you get the picture!) beautiful, amazing, stunning (you get the picture part.2.!). Their music has so many different meanings to different people and I personally can relate to so many of their songs. Coldplay are so different to any other bands out there. I can't exactly describe in words why I'm afraid I just love them! :) Songs such as In My Place and Fix You instill hope into me, X&Y gets me cos it's simply asking why things in life happen, and helped me get through a rough time I've been going through when I've been asking myself, 'what the hell is this happening to me for??' And Parachutes and ROBTTH are just incredible too, i can't explain why lol. We love Coldplay for millions of different reasons, everyone has a different reason that can't be explained. And they're such funny, nice, cool guys too! They were hilarious on Jonathan Ross, their sense of humour is so, well, me!!! Hmm, so i've not really answered ur question, but illustrated that sometimes, people are just drawn to certain people and bands - and it also helps if said band's music is bloody marvellous

I'm a Million Different People..
This is a really good original topic so well done for thinking it up. It made me think about how I act differently around different people. Like at home and with my close friends I'm loud and semi-crazy but when I'm with people I don't know so well or feel uncomfortable around I hold back because I personally don't see the point in what I like to call 'forced conversations' cos you end up talking about complete rubbish, and there's no point in talking just for the sake of it. I like to be able to talk when I want to and act as I like without feeling 'pressurised' to talk. What's so annoying is when your perceived as being 'a quiet person', when in reality, they only ASSUME you're quiet because you've never spoken to them before! Grr, so annoying.

Friday Night With Jonathan Ross
Wahay!!! Can't wait, Green Day the other week, now Coldplay. Muy excellente :D
