also, I figured out that AEnima is about mother nature coming to earth in the form of a dragon called "AEnima" and drowning LA, in order to clense the Earth of all the bad stuff that has been happening in it.

I've finally figured out that Lateralus is really about digging deep into yourself and facing all the bad things you've done in life, before you can move on. It's about how you have to dig laterally into your soul and get rid of all the sins, and what not. lol that's what I think.
