  1. 100%. It's not that bad, either. Amtrak will take you to 30th St. Station, and you can just take a cab to Wachovia. As for getting home, I have no idea if the trains run that late. You might need to stay at a hotel. Dave
  2. That's so funny! I've been to all of those exact shows! We're Coldplay Soulmates! Dave
  3. Haha that's hilarious. And I just noticed, reading your sig, that we've been to every single Coldplay show together! Are those the only ones you've been to? Dave
  4. Yeah I agree. People seemed confused last time as to when the encore even really was... Maybe we can put little post-it's on them? Haha. Dave
  5. I'm just throwing this idea out there...since it's kinda become a Philly tradition, are we doing sign again? I know it's alot to organize, but I think it'd be a cool thing to do. But we don't have to :) Dave
  6. If anyone can't get floor seats, try and get seats on the sides in the 100 section. Yes the angle isn't as good as being head on, but you're litterally just as close as some of the floor people (if not closer.) And I have to travel on Halloween :( I'll be at college in Connecticut, so I'll have to come home Friday night. It's TOTALLY worth it, though! Dave
  7. Section 5, Row 15 SAME exact as last time (which were AWESOME seats!) Woohoo!!!! Remember everyone, use this page: http://search.comcasttix.com/east/eventinfo/ColdplayWachoviaCenter.php Dave
  8. Tickets are here: http://search.comcasttix.com/east/eventinfo/ColdplayWachoviaCenter.php Dave
  9. I think that there's always alot of hype surrounding their first singles. In My Place was #2 as was Speed Of Sound. But not necessarily because they're better songs or anything, but because they were the first new songs from a popular band with alot of hype. Fix You would've gone in at #2 if it were first. But Fix You really isn't "first single material" like Speed Of Sound. I think Fix You peaking at #4 was solely because of timing and nothing else...it was a second single. Now what killed Violet Hill was the free downloads. 2 million free downloads would've EASILY translated into a #1 single had it been purchase only. There was SUCH a hype surrounding Coldplay when the project started, that pretty much anything would've sent the first single soaring up the charts. As for Viva La Vida (song), it was seriously JUST brilliant marketing that sent it to #1. I felt like it was topping the charts in the UK and US before the general public really knew the song. I feel like the position has been somewhat justified now because it really did grow into a massive hit, but still. I can almost promise that if Viva La Vida (song) was released by itself in the same way Fix You, The Scientist, Clocks, etc were released, it wouldn't've gone to #1. It was just GREAT marketing. It's still an amazing song, and probably would've gone to become their biggest hit, but I think #1 would've been pushing it. But that's just my opinion. Do I think out of all Coldplay's songs, Viva La Vida deserves to be the one that went #1? Not compared to Fix You, The Scientist, Clocks or Yellow. But does it still deserved the position (because it's a great song). However, I really think it's all attributed to genius marketing (free with album, iTunes, timing, etc.) as well as capitalizing on their popularity. Making the song public a day after the first single was released with BRILLIANT. They were making a huge impact with Violet Hill, and then pulled a 180 and sent another song into the mix! Brilliant! Dave
  10. Yeah i know it was. NOTHING against Mexico, but I just don't count it as such. Radio-only singles can barely even be considered "singles." I guess it counts slightly...it is better than just being COMPLETELY left on the album. But still. It could've (and should've) been an international 4th single (over both The Hardest Part and What If?) Both tracks are good and what-not. But White Shadows was done on every date of the tour (with a show-stopping performance none-the-less), and it's much more radio friendly than What If? Also, there was no need to release two ballads off of the same album. I think White Shadows could've been edited down enough to fit radio and still been massively successful. But then again, I'm biased. It happens to be one of my favorite songs ever. :-) Dave
  11. Then why release more singles? Dave
  12. Of course. If anybody thought anything BUT Violet Hill, Viva La Vida, Lost!, and Lovers In Japan are going to be singles, you're just going to be let down. The only other song they MIGHT (MIGHT MIGHT MIGHT) be able to pull off is 42. But that's still a bit of a stretch (although still possible). The rest of the tracks on the album, although amazing, aren't single material. But sometimes the album tracks are better than the singles themselves (Politik, High Speed, Everything's Not Lost, Warning Sign, Amsterdam, White Shadows (could've been a single, though), Swallowed In The Sea, etc.). But when it really comes down to it, singles are meant to promote an album. The public would NEVER understand Cemeteries Of London or Death And All His Friends. They're two of the best constructed songs on the album, but not radio friendly. HOWEVER, Lovers In Japan happens to be both one of the best songs in the album (in it's own right) as well as one of the most single-worthy tracks. The performance is STELLAR in concerts, and people just love it! Just pray Lost! helps shift alot of copies of VLAoDAAHF so we can get an international single #4 (for the first time...Don't Panic, GPASUYF, and The Hardest Part/What If? weren't international releases!) Dave
  13. Just be patient (and don't worry!)... I'm so excited for the show!!! Dave
  14. This really isn't a surprise. They filmed a video for it, it's already charted in the UK and US (albeit low and solely on downloads), and they've been performing it alot (even Today Show). And besides, it's a standout track on the album. Hopefully it'll do well. HOWEVER, if Lovers In Japan is not their 4th single I will THROW A FIT (just I like I did when White Shadows got the boot in favor of The Hardest Part!). No other song on the album deserves to be a single more than Lovers at this point. So, that's all I'm saying. Do the whole "Lost!-thing," but make sure Lovers comes next! Dave
  15. I won't mind seeing them again AT ALL. Even if it's the same set! It's still totally worth it. They're an amazing live band. But who knows, maybe they'll mix it up for us! Dave
  16. I stand corrected: Dear Dave, Thank you for contacting us. We are happy to promote and produce Coldplay's tour but, no, we are not selling the tickets for the US stretch of the tour. Most likely, Ticketmaster will be handling that sale. Please contact the venue box office for more information. Devynn Live Nation Tickets Customer Support I wonder why everything points to them selling tickets, but they're not! Let's keep this a secret, though, so we can get better seats! Dave
  17. I got EXCELLENT floor seats a little bit after 10:00, too. Order as early as you can, but don't freak out. Even some of the seats in the 100 level are excellent. If you're on the sides in the first few rows, you're closer than some of the people on the floor! ALSO, I just e-mailed LiveNation to confirm about them not selling tickets. I could be wrong, but I find it very hard to believe that a) Coldplay's official website would promote them selling tickets and b) LiveNation THEMSELVES have a page about them selling tickets. I'm sorry, but I'm very skeptical! I'll let y'all know when I get my response! Dave
  18. Im pretty sure Livenation are selling tickets, guys...and they're probably best. That's the one the site's promoting. EVERYBODY CALM DOWN! Haha Dave
  19. I got floor seats that way last time...I was just on the computer right away. Dave
  20. I am SO siked about Duffy! I'll be in college up at Connecticut (Univ. of New Haven), but since it's a Saturday I can come home for the weekend. Any other day, and I could'nt've come! It's MEANT TO BE! Dave
  21. Where did this rumor of a pre-sale come from? I haven't seen anything about it anywhere. I don't think there is one, don't worry. Dave
  22. They go on sale at 10 AM. And I heard nothing about a presale. Is there one? Dave
