  2. Hey, look at the bright side...we finally get a good quality airing of X&Y stuff. Yeah we had some Glastonbury stuff, Storytellers, Austin City Limits, and other various odds and ends stuff...but nothing from the actual tour! And of couse people will record it and upload it...and even rip the audio, so we'll have hq recordings of tour stuff!!! So...let's look forward to this and take this as good news. What if the DVD isn't gonna come out until late November, or not even til next year (Ok...don't everybody go biserk now...it was just a "What If" statement!)...this will hold us over until then!!! So...YAY for TV airing! Dave
  3. I still can't believe people are discussing this. I'm sorry but this is just stupid. Artists play concerts on TV ALL OF THE TIME way before they're released on DVD. Debs has said nothing about there being no DVD! And, coldpatrix, you are right Debs words do have double meaning sometimes...but certainly not now! If she were to say "Don't miss your chance to see a filming of the Toronto footage." or "The footage is now being used for a TV airing or something." Then yes, I could understand the worry. But FRICKING COME ON PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is just an excuse to have drama around here! It was just one person making a terribly wrong inference on a comment Debs made!!!! It's like Debs saying "Coldplay has added another date in America" and then everybody goes biserk because that automaticly means that they won't add any more dates!!! A DVD has been talked about mulitple times by Debs and Coldplay themselves! The tour was WAY too big not to release it...and they have the footage! Seriously. Stop trying to find hidden meanings in Debs comments! If we all do that and just wait for official announcements, then things would be less tense and less frantic around here. No where ANYWHERE does it say there won't be a DVD!!! Just everybody take a deep breath and move on. The only thing we can do is wait for an annoucement! Nothing at all has changed from a week ago! We know just as much then about the DVD as we do now, ok. Sorry if I sound to angry or whatever...but I kinda am. Just one person passes a comment and an entire fanbase goes haywire! It's kinda rediculous. Just calm down! I apologize, though. I just needed to vent. Dave

No where does it say ANYWHERE that there won't be a DVD!!! Dave
  5. Oh please! Tons of concerts are televised before they're released on DVD! I know that the last two Kylie Minogue tours were aired on TV way before any DVD release...and even before the footage was completely edited. I don't see anywhere where it says there will be no DVD...and several times (several, several, several, several times) Debs has mentioned a DVD throught the Q&A section. It was one of the biggest selling tours of 2005 AND 2006. Millions of people have seen them live. It's not like it was a small scale tour or anything. It was massive. Don't worry. There will be one! I promise. Dave

was it really? i wasn't there, but all the reports say it wasn't. That's good to know though, because it really needs to be on the DVD. It's such a great live song! Thanks Dave

Well the set they did at the shows they taped was: Square One Politik Yellow Speed Of Sound God Put A Smile Upon Your Face What If? Don't Panic White Shadows The Scientist Til Kingdome Come Ring Of Fire Trouble Clocks Talk Swallowed In The Sea In My Place Fix You I think they should've done two different sets and combined them for the DVD. They should've included alot of the other songs they did on the tour, but took out. These in particular: How You See The World Low Green Eyes Everything's Not Lost The Hardest Part (since it was a single and all) X&Y This could've been the DVD set: Square One Politik Yellow Speed Of Sound God Put A Smile Upon Your Face Low What If? X&Y How You See The World The Hardest Part Everything's Not Lost Don't Panic White Shadows The Scientist Til Kingdom Come Ring Of Fire Green Eyes Trouble Clocks Talk Swallowed In The Sea In My Place Fix You now that would've been an awesome set...and kinda summed up the whole tour at the same time!!! Dave

  9. I AGREE 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% It's such a standout track on the album!!! My ideal X&Y Single Order: Speed Of Sound Fix You White Shadows Talk/What If? (AA-Side)* Swallowed In The Sea (in select countries only) *I think this could be really cool, actually. CD 1 could have the Radio Edit of Talk and TLA Mix of What If. The cover would have the Talk code, then on CD 2, it would have the What If? code, but same color as CD 1 (therefor representing it's the same single). That disc could feature a b-side and album versions of the singles. Then the 7" on one side would have the Talk code, and on the other have the What If? code...both sides being designed to look like the front cover. OK, so maybe I've thought too much into this...but hey, I'm pretty bored and have nothing better to do, so... Dave
  10. Haha...ironicly, I asked that question lol. See, that's a bit different, in that case she had no information at all...she wasn't making up stuff or anything, she knew nothing til she got confirmation. In this case, she has information. There she wasn't really "wrong", just ignorant. As for the video: she's only denied them making a new video, but that a new vid looks likely. They have tons of tour footage and stuff to make a nice video out of. I'm sure it will either be a live performance, or a tour "montage" type thing. Either way, it's a video. And any video is better than no video, right. Dave
  11. wow...that's kinda harsh. Sorry you had a bad U2 experience! I actually think Coldplay don't talk enough. When Chris gets going it's HYSTERICAL. Some of the things he says just leave an audience cracking up. Espcially his talks he does before the acoustic set ab Johnny Cash and stuff. It's great. But that's just my opinion, anyway. I've never been a HUGE U2, fan, but I've always liked them alot. And, honestly...the statement should be the other way around. Coldplay are not like U2. Seeing as U2 came first and are legends. Coldplay will be one day, but not now. They only have 3 albums. That's just me. I do like Coldplay better, though. Dave
  12. I'm still surprised at the release. You'd think they'd release songs they've done alot on tour. So logicially, excluding Square One (as it's the opening song) and Til Kingdom Come (for obvious reasons) it should've come down to White Shadows and Swallowed In The Sea for 4th-5th singles. So I was really surprised at it. Then when I saw the video, I started to get the impression that the whole single itself was a joke of some sort. There have been some funny videos in the past (not by Coldplay), but they're all done in a serious way...I just couldn't even take THP vid seriously!!! So, I don't know. It's just such an un-obvious choice for a single for many reasons...so when it was announced, it left the entire fan base in disbelief!!! I'm still getting over it! Dave
  13. That's an amazing pic of the guys right there. They all look so different!!! Wow. Dave
  14. lol. Don't get me wrong, I believe you...but I'm not sure that it was actually promoed. If it was just a live performance of it, it really doesn't count. If it was re-edited with extra footage of something and/or had some sort of promo release (like Moses), then it was promoed. If it was just a live performance taken directly from the DVD. I don't know for SURE that nothing's been released, but I've yet to see information on One I Love anywhere. Dave
  15. I don't think there's going to be any release at all. That's what Debs said. I don't know where you got any of this information...but if Debs says there won't be any format, there won't. EDIT: Wait I see. On coldplayzone.it, they just kinda made up a story based on what they saw on coldplaying.com! That artwork isn't official, and it just says TBA for the tracks, as it did for all singles before official information was released. That story's not based on anything really, just the White Shadows section on coldplaying.com which is all TBA information. Don't believe that article. Dave
  16. who says there's not gonna be a video? Debs hasn't said that from what I saw. She said they're not going to film a new video...but that there probably will be one! My guess is using live footage from the tour (which is better than nothing, right?). I dunno where you've heard there'll be no video. Dave
  17. ^^ Q&A section. it's down right now. Dave
  18. Ok...some bad news. There will be no formats released at all, according to Debs. It is 100% radio-only. There won't even be an EP or anything released. Now I'm kinda upset!!!!!!!!!!! That's rediculous. I'd rather have a 2-track single with HYSTW on it than NOTHING!!!! Rediculous!!!! Dave
  19. Yep, Debs just said a video looks likely!!!!!!!! That's awesome news!!!!!! Dave
  20. What If is light blue...are you sure it was White Shadows??? Dave
