i'm absolutely livid...not only at the fact that i didn't get tickets, even tho i was refreshing the page constantly 5 mins before 10...and that 3 other people I know were trying as well, but the fact that 4 mins later i see tickets being sold on ebay for 600 bucks US!?!? it's disgusting...not only does it take tickets away from people who actually want to see them live, and give them to people who just buy for profit, it also makes it FAWKING impossible for coldplay fans to get them at a reasonable price…don’t get me wrong, I would pay up to 150 bucks for a ticket, maybe a bit more…but come on…I just checked on e-bay and a pair of tickets has reached 866 dollars US…866 US!?!? that's 1,069.77 CAN...at the exchange rate right now...and there’s still one day left for bidding!!!…I say we boycott these people!!! The more people who give in to these ridiculous prices, the higher the prices will go…I SAY BOYCOTT E-BAY!! E-BOOO!!!! Ps. has anyone ever thought that if they did continue with the same sort of sound and didn't venture out or try something new that whatever they come up with wouldn't be as good as parachutes? cause parachutes is an awesome album...no matter how much i listen to it...it still moves me...its kind of like nothing is ever as good as the first time you did it...well for most cases...but you know what i mean...and just doing another album like parachutes would, i don't know, just don't think it would be as good as parachutes...but who knows? ->shortie

i'm pretty ecstatic to hear that they're "re-inventing" themselves...cause really who wants to listen to the same kinda stuff 5 cds from now...that would just get dull and boring...not saying that i'm bored of their sound right now...far from it...but its refreshing to know that they're willing to take a risk in venturing off to what they're normally use to...that tells me that they are in it for the music...making music how they want to rather then just pleasing the masses...i mean look at parachutes and AROBTTH...distinctively different but still had slow melodies from parachutes...and both equally amazing...so i'm not worried at all that they're experimenting with new sounds...cause i know whatever they come out with, will still be uniquely coldplay :D ->shortie

*ponders* i wonder if everyones opinion of gwen doing backup negative because it is gwen...and not based on her talent...has anyone ever heard her sing?? i have and i don't think its that bad...i mean its not the greatest either...but i think as back up vocals...she'd do fine...has anyone ever thought that whatever they come up with might be good? why is the first thing everyone says is oh its going to suck? someone gimme a reason why, and where would that reason come from since they've never did anything like this before...what if it's good? will you still have the same opinion? would you still say it suck cause its gwen...would change your decision...cause you actually gave her a listen and found out shes good?...what if it was someone unknown did the backup vocals...i bet tons of people would be dying to hear what it sounds like...judge whether she was good or not...why can't it be the same in this case...but because its gwen, people automatically say it will suck...dunno...rather hear it before i make a decision about whether it would suck or not...cause then i'd have a legitimate reason for saying it sucks...but thats just me i guess... ->shortie

Jacqueline Hall, 31, was accused of deliberately pinching the cab from her next-door neighbour, Coldplay drummer Will Champion. And she was warned her written apologies to him amounted to a "nuisance" which could result in a legal action for damages. But yesterday Jacqueline insisted the incident was a "genuine mistake" and said she had been left badly distressed by the severe response from the band's solicitors. The mix-up happened when a minicab pulled up outside her home in Kennington, South London. The Aussie-born teacher jumped in assuming it was hers, unaware that Will and his girlfriend had booked a cab for exactly the same time as she had. Jacqueline said: "There was certainly no one from next door rushing to get into it. The driver didn't ask my name but asked where I was going. When I told him the address he said it had changed, but I was talking on my phone and didn't think anything of it." But minutes later the driver got a call from his boss saying he had picked up the wrong person. Jacqueline said: "Then he started yelling at me. He said 'I bet you use the Coldplay name all the time to get free rides.' "I gave him £10, which was double my fare, so that he could go back and pick them up. But I was so upset I was in tears and it ruined my night." Worse was to come the next day with the solicitors' letter. It said: "Yesterday evening a cab was booked on our client's account. "This taxi was wrongfully taken by yourself claiming to be authorised by Coldplay, which deception was subsequently discovered." It went on: "Your actions last night in combination with written correspondence that you have hand delivered through the letterbox on at least two occasions is tantamount to nuisance which affords our client the right to a civil action against you for damages. "Furthermore your deception last night is a criminal act and should it occur again our clients will have absolutely no hesitation in informing the police." Coldplay and Russells Solicitors dropped the issue in early July after Jacqueline produced a record of her taxi booking. She said yesterday: "To be called a criminal is terrible."
