There is no breaking with the American industry. That era is over. Oasis have before when it was a bit more important. they won't ever be played heavily on TV or anything like that anymore, a lot of quality bands won't. They get radio airplay, played on the telly, etc. But If you don't have a majorly mainstreem sounding album, its not going to happen very well, nowadays.

I never said that bands sell top spot records w/o airplay. When was that ever the question? I know many who have never seen the videos and never heard them on the radio, i never said there was anything wrong with that. I did state that its obvious that most people are wanks and only listen to whats on their local radio station. who gets the most played has nothing to do with who is the BEST. So your argument is going off topic. And if you aren't from America, don't speak as If you know a thing or two about american music market and what it all means.

Well you've already done this, so here's my opinion. 4/10 slightly boring.

ok. 1st of all I've seen Muse live, have their albums and think they are shite still. I know for a fact that a big reason why Americans don't like Oasis is b/c they are arrogant foreigners. that part is a bit more complicated than it sounds. I was referring to american fans, when speaking about RH and U2. that there are large stereotypes/groups who gravitate towards them. Of course there are the exceptional few who are different. As is everyplace you go. And Americans do like Oasis, just that not many Know of Oasis, which is a whole different matter, that has nothing to do with the general public. Which brings me back to my previous post about media/industry folk.

It means nothing. Radiohead is for all the indie "I think I'm intelligent" kids in America and U2 are for whoever buys into that. Neither is a bad band, but there are certain types that are heavily represented in America that certain bands are poster boys for.Also, Americans don't like anyone who isn't from their country who happen to be quite arrogant. they do play obscure classics, Bring it On down was one from this tour. Quality live. I don't think Noel like the way Let There Be Love sounds for the energy of the show, doubtful for it to be played.

...this has nothing to do with which band is better. The American media/music industry is shite. If you don't hit up TRL, get played on MTV, get called up by Blender Magazine or you're not "in" with the mums, then you won't get a #1 record. I know plenty of americans who still love Oasis. Regardless of fuckin "buzz". In the words of Noel Gallagher, they don't suck dick to get ahead. There are other countries in this world that matter besides your own little fun house of America. Oasis still mean something to me after all these years. They do to millions more as well. They've lost nothing in terms of quality. OASIS STILL MAKE QUALITY FUCKIN RECORDS.
