CHRIS MARTIN IS........
Did anyone see this article: http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/08/14/1060588518348.html Very interesting stuff from Chris...mind you, I think he has acted like this before... Would anyone know where I could get a bootleg of the Edmonton show?

Is Coldplay Connecting With Their Audiences?
I am a huge U2 fan and love their live shows. Coldplay is not as mature as U2 and not as sexy as Bono's earlier stuff (or Larry for that matter). But Coldplay does have a unique live show. It is mostly youthful energy, and some forms of innocence. Mostly, I like their sound and their talk about lost and lived loves. But U2 would rock Coldplay out in terms of big and loud and pop-ish. Coldplay is just like watching your friend's band hit the stage...and maybe that is why I like them.

Chris and Gwyneth at wedding
The world of the rich and famous! Yet they are so normal...I love it!
-
Oh Dear Lord!! I'm officially bummed!!!
Do any of you have the TO mp3's? :D

this kind of peed me off about our man
I totally agree with you two! But I feel that a person should know when they have screwed up, and he won't know if no one reads this post and makes a big stink about it. After all, why would he care unless the masses say anything? You know what I mean??!!

I DID GO CRAZY!!!
YUP...I thought the Music were good enough to do their own North American tour. I bet they will go a long way.

I DID GO CRAZY!!!
I know what you mean about "The Music"...they are stuck in my head too. I hope they come back to Canada. As for Security, I thought they were pretty relaxed (they didn't check anyone's cameras)...and I prefer security to be more relaxed that "thugish". Oh...and Johnny's deep voice was really loud. It was cool to hear him so clearly.

Edmonton Show
So what are your plans? If it were me, I would have my clothes picked out, stuff to sign etc. I am just curious b/c I dont' have the luck to meet people, so I can only imagine. It just sounds like so much fun. :D Hey...what did you think of "The Music"
-
Just saw Coldplay in New Orleans.
I know...I met four people who met Chris throughout the day...and NONE of them recognized him!!! Chris also gave them backstage passes. Some people have all the luck.

C0ldplay. Better standing ? or sitting down ?

I DID GO CRAZY!!!
Boob shot ammie! It has been viewed over 100 times already. How come those knockers didn't get us any closer to Backstage passes? I liked Jess' pictures...good call on the camera. I can't believe how pumped up I am over the whole thing still. And I really fell in love with "The Music" too. What a show! I made my roomie watch a LAUNCH live video of "The Music" b/c their album & regular videos show none of their energy or Robert's dancing. Jess--do you have all the luck with meeting and greeting with music stars!!!

Edmonton Show
Jess, When are you going to TO to dine with the kings? Do you know what you are going to be doing (and whatever will you get signed?)

C0ldplay. Better standing ? or sitting down ?
I think standing is best...but standing in a space where people aren't stealing each other's oxygen! On the floor, it was so tight, I decided to hit the stands (this is in Edmonton) b/c I was still close enough to see his facial hair, yet could move w/o passing out. Who can sit anyway...the stands are only for giving people room when they stand and dance! ;)

Edmonton Show
I couldn't tell what he did with the harmonica. It looked like he put it down somewhere strange...I couldn't really figure it. Chris not only bought the hiking boots he wore for the show...but he also bought two others to play in (he said)...a white pair...and some other.

Edmonton Show
Did I mention how hard it is to sleep now?

I AM GOING TO GO CRAZY!
It was more than a wonderful show. And I actually feel lucky that the show was only for about 4000 people or so...it was close and intimate. I also liked hearing the stories from people who met Chris in town (and didn't even know who he was). I bet that the anonymity made them act like the band they were before they got famous...and before Gwyneth! The night just seemed so natural! :D

Edmonton Show
Who was at the Edmonton Show? What a night. There were about 4000+ fans piled into the Shaw Centre with bodies totally squeezing every space to the stage. "The Music" did a killer intro for the night...and the wait until Coldplay was worth it. They played all the greats (leaving "Trouble", "Clocks" for the encore), with a new intro to "Yellow", including "Amsterdam", and doing a great rendition of "you're the one I love". Oh...and the harmonica solo was great! Backstage people handed out some back stage passes like they were candy. Unfortunately, I missed receiving one. I know two different groups of people who received passes by being Chris' waiter and shoe salesperson. And yes, he did wear the hiking boots he bought in Edmonton. Both the waiter and the shoe salesperson did NOT know who Chris was, and he got a real kick out of that...so he gave them passes. Must have been nice. I want to know what other Edmontonians thought of the show, and if anyone knows where to get the MP3 (the show was broadcast live). WHAT A NIGHT...how can I sleep?

We should make a little Coldplay hand sign!!
what happened to the string idea? We might do that for the Edmonton (4000 people) show!!!

I AM GOING TO GO CRAZY!
Did I mention how excited I am? :o :-D :D

I AM GOING TO GO CRAZY!
They are here, in Edmonton, only a few blocks from me  I am so excited...like being a 3 year old on Christmas Eve. And I have a midterm at 7:30am tomorrow...crap.

Norah Jones
I am proud of her for being so confident in her music, and I am a jazz lover, but I just can't get past the folk (still). Where are youSweet One, seeing NJ?

coldplay vs radiohead
I never understood why Oasis was a good band?! :-o I think Oasis is just pomp and reborn Beatles nostalgia.
