  3. There's a riot goin' on. Hello. :) *tips cap at thread and leaves*
  4. The album is incredible, fyi. I don't mean to brag (I've had it for a few weeks now), but it really is something else.
  5. Princess and the Frog is brilliant. Old school animation, about EIGHT songs (always loved the songs to be honest), and the humour is brilliant. Return to form is an undderstatement.
  6. Had this since around the end of January. 7/10 album. Most of the songs are excellent, but there are pacing problems, and Do You Want It All? has been ruined IMO. Also, the band are hopping off their influences, rather than trying to create their own sound. Bit disappointed by it really.
  7. Sange. En Anglais, c'est 'The monkey is in the tree'. :)
  8. Oooh! Transparent avatar is transparent. Hello. :)
  9. Not a whole lot strange going on, which is good I guess. What's this I hear about a video for Beach?
  10. ^ Hey you! You're hard to find these days it seems. :P I'm only just realising now how incredible an album Frengers is.
  11. Oooh, ooh! I think I have this recorded!! Let me check. Yes, I do! Settling down to watch it now. Interested to see what songs they played. :) EDIT: REWORKED versions of the following: Shut Your Eyes Chasing Cars Crack the Sutters You're All I Have :D
  12. That's one of the more interesting band name mix-ups I've seen! The Airborne Toxic Event. :) Glad you like them. You should be thankful to Bianca (TickingClock) as well though, hehe; she got me into them. :cheesy:
  13. That was mine. :) Didn't mean to cause any offence with the last track, of course - provocative, yes, but it wasn't intended. 1. And So I Watch You From Afar - S Is For Salamander 2. 14. The person I made a mixtape for seems to have vanished.
  15. OH CHRIST, I SHOULD HAVE SPOTTED THAT! :P Don't listen to Yellow House all that much, hehe. Nice music taste you've got.
  16. 1. Yeasayer - The Children - Wonderful opener, sets the tone for the mixtape perfectly, as the song is quite diverse in itself. 2. I like this. Amazing drumming here, and some lovely piano - the melody is superb. 3. Sounds like Yeah Yeah Yeahs to my ears, definitely a good thing. Nice female vocals and great chorus. Is this Metric? 4. Dirty Projectors - Stillness Is The Move - Jesus H. Christ, is that a man on vocals?! Fucking hell, he has a good voice. Great riff here as well. 5. Owen Pallett - The Great Elsewhere - The standout. Infectious melody, interesting thing going on rhythmically, and when those drums come in... oh my god. Need to give Heartland another listen. 6. I recognise this from somewhere, though I can't for the life of me recall where. Has quite a nice feel to it. 7. That's got to be one of the most interesting percussive ideas I've heard in a while! Great vocals too - sounds like early Animal Collective or something. 8. 12/8 time signature, which is always a good thing. Solid bassline, excellent chorus too. 9. Octave distance between keyboards and guitar, nice touch. Rather like these vocals. 10. Heavy emphasis on the percussion here - pretty impressive if you ask me. Really nice use of buildup too. 11. Instrumental to finish things off. Genuinely beautiful piece that helps to bring it to a close in style. Really enjoyed this mixtape, and there's rather a lot here that I would like to hear more of. So thanks to my mystery mixtaper. :cheesy:
  17. Mixtape is on iPod. Having a listen tonight. Know what the first song is already (and it makes for a great opener), and I think there's another on there I'm familiar with too. :) Will of course report back.
  18. Creator of my mixtape, send track 5 to me again, as it is corrupt. Thanks.
  19. Result indeed. Great job y'all. Mine should be along any... second... now... :uhoh:
