Yay at The Hardest Part possibly not being the next single. I was getting a tiny bit worried for the moment, it made no sense, you'd have thought they'd have chosen something that people might have heard before when they've played live on TV shows and stuff. That's why White Shadows would be perfect. I have a usually non Coldplay liking friend who bought X & Y purely on the strength of hearing White Shadows on Jools Holland (a UK live TV programme), that's how ace a song it is. A double A Side, though. Two videos. How ACE would that be?!

Whythecrap?! I really don't understand Coldplay sometimes, really don't. It's not a bad song, don't get me wrong, but I'd have thought White Shadows was a cert, it's a fecking brilliant song and should NOT just be an album track. I hope this isn't true, The Hardest Part is a good song but it's going to to chuff all in the charts.

What If? I don't skip it, but when it comes on my media player, I don't do any woo-hooing. Not that I do that ever to any Coldplay song...honest. Back to the point, how the crap is The Hardest Part winning (or losing, I don't know) this? It's a pretty spangly song in my opinion. Especially considering Chris' supposed inspiration for the lyrics, lmao :lol:

Listen more. That is the only answer I can give. When I got X & Y, there I am all excited, put the CD in my computer and it gets to What If and Fix You, and I was saddened, I tell you. I'd heard Speed of Sound and thought "Oh my, what's going on here then?!" . But then I played the tracks excessively every possible time I could, and lo, I now think some of the songs on there are the best they've ever recorded. As an LP, really is a grower, you have to subject yourself to several repeats before it hits you, but it's as good as the other two to me now in it's own way.
