I thought that about the recycling thing, but then then my brain went "OMG special content" and wouldn't let go of the idea!

Not sure where to post this or if someone has posted it already, or even if it will excite anyone other than myself, but has anyone noticed that on Play, the Viva la Vida is listed as 'gatefold digipak'? I didn't know what this was but faithful wikipedia told me http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digipack and a foldy out 'book style' thingy makes me hopeful it comes with an extra CD or something. Even if it doesn't, haven't all the others been normal jewel cased CDs? It's a bit different and makes me excited for reasons I don't even know. I'm sorry if this post is pointless but I want to believe in an extra CD or special edition-ness and in my sleep deprived state I, for a second, thought it was a good idea to post this theory :/

It's natural. We've been waiting for so long for LP4 that our expectations are very high and we're very easy to disappoint. Fortunately I am confident that they've worked their magic again...yes, they've said not everyone will like it, but I'm sure they said that about X&Y...and Rush of Blood...and Parachutes. It's just modesty, I recks.

Just had a thought. I reckon if they relaunch the site, Violet Hill will be playable either through a media player in the corner (hopefully with previews of other songs, but I'm not holding my breath, one song will do me for now) or possibly with the video they filmed in Sicily. The song would then be available for download in three weeks as Chris has said, but we'd still get a preview early like Prospekt/that locust7 guy have said. Here's hoping!

Hiya, I'm Claire from Yorkshire, I'm not technically new as I was around a bit when X&Y was released, but had to be here less when there was no album out because otherwise I'd have got too frustrated with the waiting! Now Viva la long named album is nearly here, I've come back to join in the excitement :D

Sorry to keep posting (annoying much?) but I think I'll be disappointed if Violet Hill resembles any previous Coldplay track, since the descriptions have implied they've moved their sound on and I'm looking forward to seeing a difference!

With X&Y, I think I bought the album first and I already have VLVODAAHF ('scuse the abreviation, but that's one LONG title!) on pre-order with Play, so if anything leaks I don't think I'll feel too guilty about downloading it because as far as I'm concerned, they've already got my money! Nice idea, mind :)

This is making me seriously consider a holiday in Barca...

This has made me so excited that I had to log in and post despite not having posted on here in AGES. Oh man, it best be available before May, don't think I can stand the wait. What's with the scepticism, anyway? Everyone's going to hear it eventually, no harm in a bit of blind faith at what could possibly be someone doing Coldplay fans a HUGE favour at their own risk!
