soft bulletin is BRILLIANT. i love it. yoshimi is incredible in it's own way, but it's not quite as good as the soft bulletin. i'm not as crazy about the stuff they've done before that, although some of it is really good. clouds taste metallic is a pretty good album. right, i'm done rambling now.

i hate to sound like a condescending music know-it-all, but if you liked that song, try some sunny day real estate, because 3 of the guys in the fire theft used to be in it... the fire theft are just getting started, they haven't released an album yet and they've only ever played 2 shows. (but i'm seeing them in march YAY) another intesting little fact is that the bassist and drummer of the fire theft both used to be in the foo fighters. :shrug:

look at this, two days in a row! hello to everybody who says hi. and hello to the people who didn't too, because i'm such a super nice guy. and in case i'm not back again before then, merry christmas to you too ian. :P

i have to admit when this thing started i was actually interested just to see the girl's reaction at the end. and now the end's here and it's been so long, drawn out, and stupid, that i don't even care anymore. :shrug: i love the shrug thing, hehe

well, as far as style is concerned, just go with whatever comes out. if you just say to yourself "i'm going to write a punk song now" or whatever, it will sound forced and awkward, and just bad. so just get together, throw some song ideas out there, and play with them awhile and see what comes out. don't worry about a name or anything until you have to, and not before you have a few songs that you like.
