anyone on here like RYAN ADAMS or WILCO?
wilco kick ass. their last album was much better than anything coldplay have written since parachutes. (there! i said it!)

The Bens
i have no idea, i haven't heard any of the stuff yet. i love ben folds, and i saw ben lee live and was pretty good, and ben kweller isn't bad.... so they have potential to be good.

Songs That Stick In Your Head
i'm so far out of the pop culture loop it's ridiculous... i haven't heard of any of these songs except for "can't get you out of my head" and that one i only know because the flaming lips did a cover of it.

The remnants of a new album forming?

just settle down a little. if you would credit it as a quote it wouldn't get thrown in your face. as it is, how are we supposed to know you didn't come up with it if we don't listen to nirvana?- The Bens
anybody else heard about this? apparently Ben Folds, Ben Kweller, and Ben Lee are going to be touring together and writing a few songs together as "The Bens." they've got some dates announced in austrailia but i have no idea if they'll be doing any more.- Greatest albums ever/favourite albums ever

worthless- Do You Think Tickets Prices Are 2 Much ?
i think they are much too expensive. i paid $40 for my ticket to last night's coldplay show and was 150 feet from the band. the last time i saw them i paid $15 and was 10 feet from them. oh well, i'm just not a big concert type of person i guess, so that's just me. i can't even comprehend people who pay $500 or whatever for a rolling stones ticket.- what was your first concert like?
my first concert was Page and Plant in 1998. and i was such a huge led zeppelin fan at the time so i was mega excited, even though the seats were behind the stage in the next to last row of the first union center. but i was not disappointed. they played for about 2 1/2 hours.- Setlist 02/28/03
i was there last night. i don't know what that third song was called, but i liked it. i wasn't particularly impressed with the other new ones though. and there wasn't enough parachutes! oh the times are quickly passing me by, this is the first time i've seen them and they didn't play shiver or spies. and the other two times i saw them were pre-rush concerts with about a thousand people in them. (the first time the only song most of the people knew was yellow :o ) and now they're playing in giant amphitheatres. *sigh* Other, Less Whiny Observations (because we don't need two threads about this show :P ) - hehe what was the deal with those dolls last night? that was weird. - i never realized how similar all of the Music's songs were until i saw them live. - i think guy has worn the same exact outfit every time i've seen them. - i forgot how much better "One I Love" is live than in studio. - last night was the most i've ever seen jonny get into it. - "Everything's Not Lost" is still one of my favorite songs ever. the ending always makes me forget about all the people, and the band, and the lights, and noise, and everything else. for that minute, it's just me and the music. what a nice feeling. :)- Radiohead
yeah.... me too.- Hu is with me that Cds are do dam expensive
i've taken two music business courses here at school, and what you're saying simply isn't true. the reason most major label cd's cost so much is because they actually cost that much to make. not only do the artists need to get paid from the cd's (usually about $1.20 per copy sold, not 8 cents as many people would have you believe), record labels have to make up costs in promotion (ads in newspapers and such don't get there by themselves), distribution (cd's don't magically sell themselves to every cd store in the world either), and reproduction of the actual cd's, not to mention that record labels usually pay for the artists to spend months in a recording studio to record, produce, mix, and master the album. in fact, only about 10% of major label releases make a profit, the rest just ride on the huge smash hits. unless you buy all your cd's at fye or something, in which case, yes, they are overpriced. :D- Your worst band at the moment?
oasis, but i may just be saying that because i've had to bite my tongue about them for so long because i know so many cool people who like oasis.- well i made it into a poll
to me, the last minute of "everything's not lost" is just pure musical bliss.- Is it wrong...?
yellow is still one of my favorite coldplay songs, but i don't really ever watch mtv or listen to the radio except college stations and npr so it never got overplayed to me. hehe i remember the first time i saw coldplay live that was about the only song most of the people there knew.- how did you buy your cd??
god it's been so long i don't even remember buying it, but i do remember that i had to wait for it to be released in the us because when i downloaded "shiver" and got hooked, it was only available in the uk.- i've said it before and i'll say it again...
parachutes is such an incredible album that i can't believe the same band even made rush of blood. GOD i love parachutes.- Officially pointless Coldplaying word association thread
light- there's no way i should be so amused by this.
you may be right, i may be crazy. hahahahaha get it? it's a clever use of song lyrics!- there's no way i should be so amused by this.
i tried to make an X with them but apparently the board automatically edits out big spaces when you post.- there's no way i should be so amused by this.
i think my favorites are the shruggers.         meh. tried underscores but that didn't work either.- *is quite proud of herself*
the bottom line being it's a good thing you choose what to wear a day in advance or else you might have missed the ed harcourt gig. ;) - Chris martin at the brits
