Interesting, I just started to watch this version and came across the part, where Chris talks about his breakup with Gwyneth and asks for Phil (around 25:20) and in this version they did NOT cut these few seconds out, funny! :D Small reminder: they DID cut it out during the second part that was uploaded by BBC radio 1. ;) Thanks for posting, btw! :)

Me too, in my eyes Chris' voice wasn't always at its best (especially during the verse in ASFOS, one could clearly hear that there were some stabilising sounds during the powerful chorus imo), maybe it's also due to the quality of the radio broadcast or the venue's acoustics...there were more echoing effects, it did not sound as "direct" as in the 1Live broadcast in Cologne for example. But maybe I am alone with this impression and I just glorify the Cologne broadcast because it was such a great experience to be part of it. ^^ I don't want to ruin the concert in NY for you, sorry. ;)

But I'm not sure about this acutally...because the live version during the Cologne concert last week had definitely a different sound imo. :thinking:

I almost forgot to ask this ^^ Does anybody have an idea if this different sound will be there acutal album version of Midnight on GS or is it just a special version for this trailer or during the Midnight performance in the NBC special? Because I really like the added sound or differences to the version we got in March. :D

Maybe I was hoping for further releases subconsciously because Chris said at the beginning of the interview that he is still writing some stuff in the studio. :rolleyes:

I have another question about the tracks from the deluxe edition....during the interview with Zane Lowe Chris mentioned that these three bonus songs will be available for everybody in 6 months or so...should that be a hint at another EP oder even LP or why is he so precise about the time interval? :surprised:

Yeah, ok that could be some explanation, that they don't want the interview scene to look messy when the camera shows how many other people are actually in the room with them, then the private atmosphere would be destroyed somehow. But still, I agree with you, the part is interesting because we can only speculate about the actual reasons for creating some differences between audio and video version of the whole interview. Or was just to raise attention and get some more viewers who heard it first and then wanted to watch the video also? :thinking: That would be understandable, yes. Interesting though why it was Phil and not anybody else from the band but maybe just because only Phil joined him for that interview. ^^ And I suspect that only real fans watch an hour long interview, so the masses will not know of the real meaning behind the song....apart from people who follow the media that might write about it.

Haha, since I am already over that magic mark now, I can answer here, too. ^^ I was a very unactive member the last years but this new album really excites me, so I thought it might be a good reason for becoming more involved now. :D

From the BBC's point of view it seems "unnecessary" but for the fans such emotional parts of the interview are very interesting nevertheless, as we could have seen Chris in a very emotional scene...and there has to be some reason why he was asking for Phil...and if this scene wasn't of any importance they could have cut it out from the audio as well, since it wasn't live anyway, couldn't they? :shrug:

I just wasn't sure what their announced first prize (Ghost Stories Deluxe Edition) really means, if it's a hard copy they will send after the album is released because a few minutes before they had "Another's Arms" as the first prize but had to change it because they are not allowed to give it away...that seemed to me as if it would have been an instant mp3 track or so.....sorry, I was confused as well about this competition somehow.

During that he asks whether Phil is there, too (around 23.50 min). But if you compare this audio to the parts uploaded by the BBC this part is missing.
