i like the angle you approach it from there, and find myself agreeing profusely, another sign of being up this long, i start agreeing with everyone and everything to avoid challenging my brain to a duel it clearly doesnt want to be a part of..i like being the only one awake..hell is other people ~ sartre...i do my best (and weirdest, which to me IS best) thinking at this time and paradoxically get more done by doing less..a fine time to use words like paradoxically i know..and trust me "normality"? well first off it doesnt exist and secondly thinking yourself to be normal is a depressing thought, so i'd avoid that completely..entertaining notions of thinking we belong in this so called "normal" world/environment is to let in the death of the imagination, and the death of the imagination is the death of everything..ok thats my deep thinking done for now..time for some mindless self indulgence.

Ambulance Blues (Written: t.b.d.) Notes: Back in the old folky days The air was magic when we played. The riverboat was rockin' in the rain Midnight was the time for the raid. Oh, Isabela, proud Isabela, They tore you down and plowed you under. You're only real with your make-up on How could I see you and stay too long? All along the Navajo Trail, Burn-outs stub their toes on garbage pails. Waitresses are cryin' in the rain Will their boyfriends pass this way again? Oh, Mother Goose, she's on the skids Shoe ain't happy, neither are the kids. She needs someone that she can scream at And I'm such a heel for makin' her feel so bad. I guess I'll call it sickness gone It's hard to say the meaning of this song. An ambulance can only go so fast It's easy to get buried in the past When you try to make a good thing last. I saw today in the entertainment section There's room at the top for private detection. To Mom and Dad this just doesn't matter, But it's either that or pay off the kidnapper. So all you critics sit alone You're no better than me for what you've shown. With your stomach pump and your hook and ladder dreams We could get together for some scenes. I never knew a man could tell so many lies He had a different story for every set of eyes. How can he remember who he's talkin' to? 'Cause I know it ain't me, and I hope it isn't you. Well, I'm up in T.O. keepin' jive alive, And out on the corner it's half past five. But the subways are empty And so are the cafes. Except for the Farmer's Market And I still can hear him say: You're all just pissin' in the wind You don't know it but you are. And there ain't nothin' like a friend Who can tell you you're just pissin' in the wind. I never knew a man could tell so many lies He had a different story for every set of eyes How can he remember who he's talking to? Cause I know it ain't me, and hope it isn't you.

more: On the Beach The world is turnin', I hope it don't turn away, The world is turnin', I hope it don't turn away. All my pictures are fallin' from the wall where I placed them yesterday. The world is turnin', I hope it don't turn away. I need a crowd of people, but I can't face them day to day, I need a crowd of people, but I can't face them day to day. Though my problems are meaningless, that don't make them go away. I need a crowd of people, but I can't face them day to day. I went to the radio interview, but I ended up alone at the microphone, I went to the radio interview, but I ended up alone at the microphone. Now I'm livin' out here on the beach, but those seagulls are still out of reach. I went to the radio interview, but I ended up alone at the microphone. Get out of town, think I'll get out of town, Get out of town, think I'll get out of town. I head for the sticks with my bus and friends, I follow the road, though I don't know where it ends. Get out of town, get out of town, think I'll get out of town. 'Cause the world is turnin', I don't want to see it turn away.

More Neil Young Dont Let it Bring You Down (Written: t.b.d.) Notes: Old man lying by the side of the road With the lorries rolling by, Blue moon sinking from the weight of the load And the building scrape the sky, Cold wind ripping down the allay at dawn And the morning paper flies, Dead man lying by the side of the road With the daylight in his eyes. Don't let it bring you down It's only castles burning, Find someone who's turning And you will come around. Blind man running through the light of the night With an answer in his hand, Come on down to the river of sight And you can really understand, Red lights flashing through the window in the rain, Can you hear the sirens moan? White cane lying in a gutter in the lane, If you're walking home alone. Don't let it bring you down It's only castles burning, Just find someone who's turning And you will come around. Don't let it bring you down It's only castles burning, Just find someone who's turning And you will come around.

OK people..i'm rapidly losing coherency here due to sleep deprivation..but while thats happening here's some classic 70's neil young: Look Out For My Love (Written: t.b.d.) Notes: There's a lot to learn For wastin' time There's a heart that burns There's an open mind. Look out for my love, look out for my love Look out for my love, look out for my love You own it You own it now You own it. There's a weight on you But you can't feel it Livin' like I do It's hard for you to see it. Was I hurt too bad Can I show you daylight How could I be sad When I know that you might. Look out for my love, look out for my love Look out for my love, look out for my love. Look out for my love It's in your neighborhood I know things are gonna change But I can't say bad or good. Silver wings of mornin' Shinin' in the gray day While the ice is formin' On a lonely runway. Hydraulic wipers pumpin' 'Til the window glistens Somethin' sayin' somethin' No one seems to listen. Men with walkie-talkies Men with flashlights wavin' Up upon the tower Time reads daylight savings. I'm home again to you babe You know it makes me wonder Sittin' in the quiet slipstream In the thunder. Look out for my love, look out for my love Look out for my love, look out for my love.
