it's not, as far as i know. envy = wanting the same exact things others have jealousy = wishing you were in the same position as others something like taht, it's just my interpretation. but i know there is a difference. well. i consider myself jealous (and egoistic, but now this doesnt matter). but im not jealous because my boyfriend gives his attention to his friends and not only me, but his ex! i know it sounds strange, but i can't help myself. sometimes i just think he'll never love me as much as he loved her and that what we have is far more simple than what he had before. but it's not always like that. i dont know how things are in your case, Charles. Are you able to see here each day? if so, then you shouldn't (i know, easy to say) be jealous because she can't be 24/7 with you, even though she'd like to spend the most of her time with you. but i guess she loves her friends in a manner and wouldn't like to just forget about them. in my case, for example, we see each other only during weekends and now even for less time because of my uni and stuff. and of course i'm angry and jealous if he says that he'd like to go out with friends. because ... he can see them each and every day, but we only have two days to be together. in any case, too much jealousy isn't healthy. of course there has to be some, you show to her and yourself that you care about her and that you won't let her go so easily, but it easily becomes restraining if you don't let her hang out with friends.
